Mehndi (heena)

Mehndi is an old indian tradition. In da old days people used to put on mehndi during weddings and special occasions. now a days u can put it on wenever u want...there doesnt have to be any special occasions. U can put it on just for da heck of it. but wenever i go to india...i alwys get heena tattoos ...they look super cute.  :love: :okk:

Usually Mehndi is applied in cone shaped packets. you can keep it on for serveral hours or take it off right away. but if u take it off rite away...thrs no point in gettin it cus da color wont show up as dark. unless u ask da ppl to put in dat darkening serum thingy....dat parlors usually have. hmmm its fast n easy but i like keepin it on for atleast 3-5 hours... da darker it is da better it looks :excited:

Is that what fatty said? Come on now. You should be glad someone like me is actually willing to learn punjabi. Not a lot of people over here would even know what punjabi is.

lets talk about punjabi's and tea. "cha" as we like to call it. punjabis loveeeeeeeeee chaa...we cant live widout it, literally. if my mom dsnt have her cup in da morning. she's alwys complaining abt havin a headache cus she hasnt had any "chai" lmaoooooo :Laugh: n i know how dat is cus i've experienced it  :scared: wat can i say....im addicted to chaa. lolz

usually how we make it is. take a pan and depending on how many ppl are drinking u measure out the water. so say if theres 4 people. u fill da pan wid water. measure out 2 cups. dats one trick to make chaa...wenever u wnna knw how much water to pour. count how many ppl there are. and then put half of dat amnt for da water. so since we have 4 ppl...we're gonnna use 2 cups of water. den put it on ur oven n let it boil for abt 5 minutes and then u can add sugar, tea bags (one tea bag per person), ilaichi (cardamom) , laung (cloves) (optional) , adrak (ginger) (optional), cha masala (optional), saunf (fennel seeds) (optional). u wait like 5 more minutes and then u add milk to the pan. let it sit for abt ten minutes n den ur good to go.  oh and after u put da milk its gonna rise...so make sure u stand nearby...oda wise u dnt wnt a mess. trust me..i've had to clean it a baziillion times. lol n its always da moment u step away to get sumtin dat it bubbles out. u could be standin thr da whole time...n u look away for a second. n bammmmmmmm ur a goner lolzzzzzzzzz :Laugh:

I know the basics of punjabi but I dont understand the majority of words used in songs. For example the song "tera yaar bolda" can somebody use words from there and translate them? It seems they use a whole new level of punjabi in punjabi songs o.O
