Paper was invented by the Chinese by 105AD and spread slowly to the west. Paper making and manufacturing in Europe started in Iberian Peninsula today’s Portugal and Spain and Sicily in the 10th century by the Muslims living there at the time and slowly spread to Italy South France reaching Germany by 1400. In medieval Europe, the hitherto handcraft if paper making was mechanized by use of water power the first water paper mill in the Portuguese city of Leiria 1422, and other processes. The rapid expansion of European paper production was truly enhanced by the invention of the printing press and the beginning of the printing revolution in the 15 century. The world paper is etymologically derived from papyrus, Ancient Greek for the Cyperus papyrus paper. Papyrus is a thick, paper like material production from the pith of Cyprus papyrus plant which was used in ancient Egypt and other Mediterranean cultures for writing long before the making of paper in china. Papyrus however is a “Lamination of natural plant, while paper is manufactured from fibers whose properties have been disintegration”. Most of the people used in North America turn yellow and brittle within 30 years. It’s because of the Acid residues from wood pulp, bleaching or the fillers in the paper. Acid free or alkaline paper made with fillers such as calcium carbonate can last for two or three hundred years. They use less water, less fiber and less bleach in the manufacturing. Acid free paper lasts longer and it’s better for the environment. Paper manufacturers use the clean waste unsold publication to make new paper. That is why recycled paper usually specified then the percentage of “post – consumers” contents. These days industry executives estimate that eventually at least 40% of our paper needs will be met from recycling the “Urban Forest” for used papers. Paper fiber can be recycled four to seven times before the fibers become too short and wash way in the sludge. Sludge can be toxic because of ink and other additives. One benefit of unbleached pare is that it does not add organ chlorine too the sludge. Highly processed paper is hardest on the environment. The use of paper in the world every year is increasing and its growth is not sustainable. We all can make wise use of paper and wastage: - Use both sides of paper
- Choose the right paper for the job.
- Use telecommunication and computer media whenever possible.
- Choose non toxic ink and printing methods that are easy to recycle.
- Recycle yours used paper and buy recycled paper.
- Reduce a legal size sheet to an 8 & 1/2 X 7 sheets when you photocopy it.
- Circulate reports around the office in mailing envelope as each person reads it they send it on to next on the list.
- Make smaller notices, forms and letters print two on each sheet of paper and cut it in half.
- Use scrap paper for photocopying office memos for doodling.
- Use electronic mail. It’s fast, cheap and paper free.
- Photocopy back to back so you can use 100% of your paper instead of 50%.
- Use unwanted one sided printed sheets as rough pad to make your notes.
- Office generally uses paper cups. Instead of paper cups, companies can provide mugs with one time cost to their employees.
Make use of paper wisely wastage is never recommended it’s high time we all have to work together to do more with less. This will be the best act to control wastage of paper. It will be more economic and will help in preventing of cost for the waste of paper.

Guys - please check below pictures of 9.5/8" casing which had left Gearhart's ( http://gearhartcompanies.com/) yard following inspection/re-coating for storage, the truck wasn't traveling fast by any means but had to stand on his brakes and give way at the intersection and the pictures tell the rest. Driver luckily was only bruised and in a bit of shock. Safety Alerts : Make sure the casings properly lashed and tied down to the trailer. Make sure all the delivery trailers need to have front (bulk head) and side support. This is my "internal" alert but i m sharing here just for information .. for those who are driving trailer !!

On Junrey Balawing’s 18th birthday party, he received more than the usual set of gifts: he got a Guinness world record. Balawing, the son of a poor blacksmith in Sindangan, Philippines, was crowned the world’s shortest man, measuring 23.6 inches tall. The previous record-holder, Nepal’s Khagendra Thapar Magar, is 26.3 inches tall and held the title for about eight months. Although the shortest living man, Balawing missed the title of shortest man in history, which is held by Gul Mohammed of India, who was 22.5 inches tall and died in 1997. Weighing in at only 11 pounds, Balawing looks like a toddler, and has experienced health and speech problems due to his size. But on Sunday, “dozens of journalists” showed up at his small home city, and he celebrated with a feast of roasted pigs for visitors, neighbors and family (including his three normal-sized siblings). Balawing reportedly thanked the crowd in his local dialect, and then blew out the candles on his cake after several attempts. The Associated Press reported that he was later heard saying that he was tired. Balawing’s size has not always been cause for celebration: his family said that he was born as a normal sized baby, but quickly became sickly before his first birthday. He completely stopped growing two months after his birth and was not able to walk until he was five-years old. Around this time, Balawing was removed from school because he had proven distracting to the other students. Despite health problems, Balawing’s mother said he is a happy teenager. “Although he’s short, he takes that in stride,” Guinness World Records representative Craig Glenday told the AP. “He has this cheeky smile.” His father Reynaldo Balawing called his son a “lucky charm,” because, after his birth, Reynaldo was able to find a job that could support their family. Although the Guinness world record does not come with a cash prize, Glenday said he hopes that Balawing’s new fame will help in soliciting donations for medical supplies. The average one-year old boy is 28 inches tall.

Astronomers discover a planet that was so uniquely precious, lying 4,000 light years away from Earth there exist a planet that could be made of diamonds, according to report of Reuters. Scientist claims that it could be the densest planet ever discovered and consist mostly of carbon. Since it is so dense, the carbon must be crystalline, so effectively most of the part of this exotic planet be diamond. So if you think that this is Avatar came true, don’t look back cause if that’s possible earthlings could be harvesting that exotic diamonds in the near future.

The internet provides us the luxuries of getting an ease of information resources, shopping, socializing and almost everything you can think of. However, asides from these luxuries –threats are all bound with common vulnerabilities, that’s user’s password. The personal information, confidential documents and other things that shouldn’t be there publicly on the internet are all put on leak-risk. We got a comical approach on what you should remember about “password strength”, just hit it after the break. Now we know maybe you’re one of those trained humans for “passwords that are hard for humans to remember, but easy for computer to guess” –we hope this helps.

Robert Gülpen a 52-year-old renown miniature car model maker has built the most expensive model car in the world —-a 1:8 scale replica of the Lamborghini Aventador made from carbon, platinum gold and decorated with precious stones. It took Gülpen 500 hours to complete his claimed “high-tech work of art” that’s uniquely never been done before. This model car features polished details made of carbon fiber like the original version flooded with €2 million-worth of precious metals and stones. Metal was used for the detailed rims and diamonds were inserted into the seats, steering wheel and headlights. Gülpen model doesn’t have a working engine, stereo setup or air conditioning but interestingly will go on auction at Sotheby’s with a starting price of €3.5 million, or $4,789,000+ notably priced 12 times more than the real Lamboghini Aventador which went on sale this summer at $379,700.

The future for Eco cars is looking very bright indeed and over the next few months and years, we can expect to see many new makes and many improvements with regards to the key attributes that a vehicle of this kind should possess. On the whole, we can expect to see larger, executive electric cars appear alongside the more compact versions that we are familiar with today but for the time being, there are some exciting new releases planned in the City Car sector. The City Car market shows a huge growth pattern and Skoda and VW are setting the trend for the new range of all electric city cars with the planned introduction of two vehicles that essentially follow the same design. From VW, we await the release of the ‘Up’, which was unveiled at the Frankfurt motor show in early 2011. The all electric version of this car will take some time to follow its traditionally fuelled counterparts, but it can be expected sometime in 2012. As for Skoda, they have rebranded a car that was originally due to be named as the Joyster and it will now be called the Citigo. Based on the VW design, the Citigo will be available as a small engine car and the all electric model should be along sometime next year. Continuing the trend for smaller eco cars, Toyota are launching a new hybrid range that will initially be available for sale in the USA only. Seen by some as pioneers due to the production of the Prius, Toyota are targeting the US market, particularly California, in an attempt to capture a market that has grown due to the state’s strict emission laws. At the other end of the scale, Rolls Royce are probably the last manufacturer that you would associate with eco friendly cars, but the firm are serious about exploring this market. An all electric concept version of their classic Phantom was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 2011 to a healthy reception. As yet, the market in electric luxury cars is largely untapped so it makes sense for somebody to step in and make their move in this area. Chevrolet have already crossed into electric territory with their compact Volt, so why shouldn’t Rolls Royce get involved? As the eco friendly cars of today evolve, it is hoped that improvements in key areas such as battery range and battery life are seen. When Nissan introduced their all electric Leaf back in 2010, they claimed a battery range of around 100 miles, but independent tests showed the figure to be nearer to 73 miles. The improvements in driving range are important, not only to make these vehicles more tempting to new owners, but to give the market in used eco friendly cars a much needed boost. If you’re looking for a used nissan, greater battery life and a bigger range is far more likely to tempt you to cross over to eco friendly driving. However, there are many positives in the eco car world and with a great range of new releases on the horizon, there are some very exciting times ahead.
