ਮੈ ਵੀ ਝੱਲਾ ਸੀ ਦਿਲ ਵਾਲੀ ਗੱਲ ਨਾ ਕਹਿ ਸਕਿਆ,
ਹੁਣ ਓਹਦੀ ਤਸਵੀਰ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਪਿਆਰ ਜਤਾ ਲਈਦੈ,
ਕੀ ਕਰੀਏ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਬਹਾਨਾ ਨਈ ਏ ਜੀਣ ਦਾ !

ਇੱਕ ਅਹਿਸਾਨ ਕਰ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਜਾਣ ਵੇਲੇ,
ਕੋਈ ਸਿਰਨਾਵਾਂ ਹੀ ਛੱਡ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਚਿੱਠੀ ਪਾਓਣ ਨੂੰ,
ਹੁਣ ਤਾਂ ਖੱਤ ਲਿਖ ਕੇ ਓਹਦੀ ਤਸਵੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਸੁਣਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ,
ਕੀ ਕਰੀਏ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਬਹਾਨਾ ਨਈ ਏ ਜੀਣ ਦਾ !
