What does Khalistan mean?

We have had this discussion before but we all get so defensive (myself included) and argumentative.

My parents have told me "khalsa" means pure or truthful. So to me Khalistan means the land of the pure and truthful.

I don't associate Khalistan with an actual another country.

To some it is a state of mind to others it can mean a separate country.

So if there ever was a separate state/country created called Khalistan, what would it mean?

Does it mean ke non-Sikhs nu Punjab shad ke jana pehna? Would they have ohna di avdi government, avde laws?

Je political view wich dekhya jave mere khayal wich Khalistan kaday ni ban sakda, only because it's POLITICAL.

Canada wich vi ek province haiga, Quebec, oh vi avda separate country mangde for French people. Har 5-6 saal baad vote pehndi ki bana deiya jave ke nahi. Hamesha vote nahi hee hundi.

Separate country banauna saukha kam nahi. Tuhade paise di koyee value ni hundi, tuhadi economy nahi haigi. Bahut negative affects ah jande.

Koyee baharli country aahke tuhade te attack vi kar sakdi..overtake vi kar sakde, because you are now a separate country.

But eh josh sirf 1-2 maheene rehnda fer sab same.

Je appa economically long term dekhiye ta bahut negative affects vi ho sakde eda di decision te.


Eh sirf discussion haige about economy, long term affects, NOT ABOUT RELIGION.

Sikhs wont be treated as animals by the punjab government.
THugs like shiv sena wont be around to openly make fun of the sikhs in punjab.

Economy could rebound since there aer enuff rich sikhs out there living outside of punjab.  I am sure they will throw support.

these are the positive effects.


Negative effects: corruption still exist in punjab and very dominant among sikhs so that can't be erased.
Politics chaldi at every level these days even with sharomani akali dall vich.
Pakistan wargi country fayada chaku gi.
Even though there are lot of sikhs in the indian military/forces. Military equipment will be scarce.
THere are small countries that flourish.  quwait isnt that big. Par ehe panga water supplies could be cut off by the indian governmetn since water mostly comes from northern part of india.



At the end what we as sikhs need to do is improve the justice system in punjab and improve equality.

- Paise da mul te jo kuch banda hai ohde nal hundi, it can't be made from thin air. Your GDP would be set up depending on what you produce, import/export, etc. The GDP may be low, but there are several factors that are great. Currently the central gov't only gives back about 60% of what it takes from Punjab. That extra 40% is immense.

- Then again there are several small countries, not all countries get attacked. History has shown that the Sikhs are good at being militarized and have shown the will to defend when the times are tough.

Creating a different country (Khalistan) will mean that your just going to be in dictatorship which is itself a self explanatory term.

Running one country on its own is just not visible , boycotting from other states ( country as a whole ) is like setting up a house in a dessert.

Where to get the resources ? ( water , electricity and other services )

- Creating a different country doesn't mean having a dictatorship. A dictatorship is one in which one person takes control. If anything, the Sikh religion is more geared towards being a democracy with the 5 piare, 5 takht, etc.

- Separation is separation, there shouldn't be any hope from other states, I think that will be generally understood.

- Where does a country like Denmark, Switzerland get its resources? When you have money or products, there will be opportunities of trade.

but theres soo much work that needs to be done.. Sikhi need to revitialize itself.. And to khalistan will be just like punjab under the rule of maharaj ranjit singh.. Jidde flag de under hindus muslims and sikhs all used to live in peace.. Just for an example cow slaughtering was banned under his rule just shows the respect he had for different religions... Naale there was no dictatorship.. Jatherdars like akali phoola singh ji was there to keep the checks and balance system.. Punjabs economy will sustain itself.. Es gurua di dharti te kaday kisse cheez di.ghaat ni aa sakdi... Ajj vi this oart of country is known for being the bread basket.. Naale abt military efforts example is isreal.. If isreal can.sustain itself between thewhole middleeast ..why cant the sikhs do the same.. Naale Guru sahb de bachan ne raaj bina na dharam chaleh hai..
