ssa dosto as we all know about Shaheed Bhagat Singh and some other martyrs. And now i'm sharing some information about one of those LEGENDS i mean "Sardar Kartar Singh Sarabha."
Kartar Singh was born in Sarabha, a village in district Ludhiana, in 1896. He was the only son of his parents. He was still very young when his father died. His grandfather brought him up with great care. After passing the ninth grade, he went to Orissa to live with his uncle. He completed his high school and began college while there. It was the year 1910-1911, when he had the opportunity to read a lot of books outside the narrow range of school or college text books. This was also the time of nationalist movement. It was this political environment that aroused the feeling of patriotism in him. It was then that he decided that he must travel to America.
He arrived in San Francisco in 1912. A paper named Gadar was launched. Its first issue was published in November 1913. Kartar Singh was also a member of its editorial board.
In a public meeting held in Stockton in February 1914, Indian freedom flag was unfurled. Oaths for freedom and equality were taken. Kartar Singh was one of the main speakers in this meeting.
In September 1914 Kamagata Maru ship had to return without unloading its human cargo after its passenger suffered indescribable tortures at the hand of the imperialist whites. So Kartar Singh along with Kranti Priya Gupta and an American anarchist named Jack went to Japan. He met Baba Gurdit Singh in Kobe and held consultations with him.
On November 16, 1915 he was hanged. That day too he was happy as always. His weight too increased. He embraced the hanging rope with the words, "Victory to Mother India."
He wrote a popular song which he would sing and it is said that he died singing it:
"Sewa desh di jinddhiye badhi aukhi gallan karnia dher sukhalliyan ne, jinha desh sewa 'ch pair paya ohna lakh museebtan jhalliyan ne."
Serving ones country is very difficult It is so easy to talk Anyone who walked on that path Must endure millions of calamities.

What Warren Buffet says about basic investing, spending, savings are so true. Most of us know it, however too many of us do not live it. If it does make a change in your life, thank HIM (I mean God) because this is common sense. WB said it once, I am just reproducing it.
1. On Earning: Do not depend on a single income. Invest and create a second/ third source of income:
This means when you are young your first task should be saving and investing. By creating a second source of income you are quickly reducing your dependence on your job. This could help you to set out on your own one day. The quicker you can do it, the better.
2. On Spending: If you buy things that you do not need, you may soon have to sell things you need:
It kind of summarizes Gen X’s reaction towards ‘luxuries’. As a part of Gen X we were perhaps criticised for some of our expenses, so it could be a generational thing even for WB. However, having goals and knowing where you are going, and not spending just to ‘show off’ are important lessons for all generations.
3. On Savings: Do not spend what is left after spending, instead spend after you save/invest:
Also called ‘Pay Yourself First’. If you realise that investing in a pension plan or for your kid’s education is just helping you to save more later on. It is not a sacrifice, it is just postponing consumption. So understand, invest and then spend.
4. On taking Risk: Never test the depth of the river with both your feet:
If you are doing something, do small. If you are a first gen investor, do not be carried away by equity lovers like me and put all your money in equity. Do a SIP with a small amount, and test the waters. Do a SIP of Rs. X (which could be 10% of your take home pay) for 5 years and then step up. And for heavens sake understand risk of inflation, and the concept of real returns
5. On Investing: Do not put all eggs in one basket:
Immaterial of who you are and how much you understand, create a portfolio. A full range lunch plate is always better than just one item. So create a portfolio with bonds, bond funds, PPF, NSC, equity, mutual funds, and on the risk side medical and term insurance.
6. On Expectation: Honesty is expensive, do not expect it from cheap people:
Not everybody is honest, nor does everybody want to be honest. Honest advisers are difficult to find especially in Health and Wealth, be careful.

If you’re struggling to sleep well at night, follow these top tips to help you put down that glass of warm milk and ditch the sheep counting.
1. Set a regular bedtime
Go to bed at the same time every day. Simple. Like children, we need routines to tell our bodies when it’s time to shut down. Choose a time when you normally feel tired so you don’t toss and turn. If you need to change the time, do it slowly over a few nights with 15 minute increments.
2. Wake up at the same time
Likewise with bedtime, you need a regular time to get out of bed sleepyhead. Try and maintain this even at weekends. If you are getting enough sleep, you should wake naturally without the help of an alarm clock. Adjust your bedtime accordingly.
3. No shame in a nap
If you have a late night, top up your sleep bank by squeezing in a power nap in the day as opposed to having a lie in. The ideal time to nap is early afternoon and for no more than 30 minutes.
4. Don’t fall asleep on the couch
A decision to nap is different to just dozing all the time. If you find yourself falling asleep in front of the telly, or worse, at your desk - get up and do something else to wake yourself up. Make a phone call, go for a walk, do that pile of washing – whatever it is, try to stick to your sleep timetable.
5. Expose yourself to more light during the day
Melatonin is a naturally occurring hormone to help you regulate your sleep pattern. It is controlled by light exposure and your brain should secrete more during the evening to help you nod off. Help your brain out by getting outside, without sunglasses, in your lunch break or walk into work in the morning. At night, keep it dark by turning off your TV or computer while you try and go to sleep.
6. Make your bedroom a sanctuary
A comfortable bedroom means a cosy night’s sleep. Keep the rool cool, make sure your bed is roomy with nice clean sheets and keep the noise to a minimum. Your bed should be for sleep and sex only. If you associate it with anything else like working, your body will not get the message that it’s time to switch off.
7. Adjust your evening meal
Stay away from big meals in the evening. Don’t eat heavy, rich food 2 hours before bed and fatty foods take a lot of work for your stomach to digest, which will keep you up. Alcohol in the evening will reduce your sleep quality and whilst you might think it will help you to fall asleep, it wil probably wake you up in the middle of the night. All this talk is making us sleepy...zzzzzZZZZZZZ

Often people expect a heart attack to be dramatic like it is in the movies. But in reality — most often — that is not the case. This article thus spells out the signs and symptoms of a heart attack.
What happens during a heart attack?
During a heart attack, the blood flow to the heart muscle is either reduced or completely stops. This typically happens because of a blood clot that is blocking an artery. When the heart muscle does not get oxygen-rich blood, it ceases to work.
Some common heart attack symptoms:
#A heart attack often causes chest pain. #There is a feeling of fullness or a clasping pain in the centre of the chest. Most victims describe the pain as akin to an elephant standing on the chest (extreme pain). It usually lasts for about 15 minutes. #One also experiences shooting pain in the shoulders, neck, arm, back and sometimes even the teeth and jaw. #One finds increasing episodes of chest pain. #Prolonged pain in the upper abdomen. #Shortness of breath. #The victim might experience heavy sweating. #Since the heart’s pumping action is severely impaired during a severe heart attack, the victim might lose his/her consciousness. #Nausea and vomiting #In rare cases, as in patients who are diabetic, the heart attack may not be very painful, and sometimes can even be entirely painless.
Other heart attack symptoms
The elderly, diabetics, people on steroids as well as women are less likely to have obvious symptoms like severe chest pain (as often seen in men). These are some symptoms they are likely to have: Pain in the abdomen #Heart burn #Sweaty skin #Unusual tiredness #Dizziness or light-headedness #Nausea #Tightness or pain in the neck, shoulder or upper back
Heart attack symptoms are not the same for all…
Not everyone who has a heart attack has the same symptoms. Many a time, we also tend to ignore a heart attack thinking it might be mere abdominal discomfort due to gas pains or indigestion. If you have more than a few symptoms listed above, then you are likely to be having an attack. Get emergency help immediately.
What to do in case of a heart attack?
#Rush to a hospital: If you recognise that you or someone around is having a heart attack, get immediate medical help. #Give Disprin (Asprin): As soon as you recognise it is an attack, crush a disprin, dissolve it in water and make the person drink it. #Emergency numbers: Every office and home must keep a list of emergency numbers like that of an ambulance service, hospital.
A heart attack is different from a cardiac arrest
Do not confuse a heart attack with cardiac arrest. In the case of a cardiac arrest, the heart suddenly stops. It occurs due to an electrical disturbance that obstructs the heart’s pumping function, which results in stopping blood flow to the rest of the body.

People aged 68 or nine year olds are likely to be the most happiest as their priority in life is to 'have fun'. According to a new UK survey, nearly 64% of those aged 68 listed having fun as one of the most important concerns in their life, while most nine year olds were happy as a result of not having financial, relationship and career concerns, The Telegraph reported.
The survey of 2,000 people aged five to 80, by sweet company Juicy Drop Prop investigated the exact points in life where people are least worried and more concerned with having fun.
Those in their 60s are the most adventurous and thrill seeking age group, with 34% listing skydiving, bungee jumping and surfing as 'must do' activities.
One in five over 60s showed their adventurous streak by describing an action-packed adventure holiday as their ideal break.
However, younger participants proved less daring, with only 5% of those in their 20s-40s choosing a similar holiday.
The study suggests that younger adults do not attribute the same importance to enjoyment as children and over 60s.
The majority of people aged between 20 and 40 had more pressing concerns, with 72% prioritising paying off debts and furthering careers above having fun.
The fun loving attitude of over 60s is reflected by nearly half (47%) of children considering their grandparents to be the most relaxed and fun members of the family, more so than their parents.
A majority of children under 10s (78%) surveyed said that getting a job and missing out on fun were the worst things about growing up.

Telecom minister Kapil Sibal on Monday said that mobile phone subscribers will not have to pay roaming charges from next year. "From next year. Our secretary has told you that it will be free from next year," Sibal said in New Delhi in response to a query on the timing of removing roaming charges as proposed in the National Telecom Policy 2012.
The minister was speaking to the media on the sidelines of the curtain raiser event of India Internet Governance Conference.
NTP 2012, approved in May, aims to abolish roaming charges and allow mobile phone subscribers to use same number across country without having to pay extra charges for services once they are outside their telecom circle.
Meanwhile, telecom secretary R Chandrashekhar said the Department of Telecom (DoT) is working on Notice Inviting Applications for spectrum auction after which it will work on unified licence (UL) guidelines - also a part of the NTP 2012.
"We are first going to attend to all issues linked to auction. The moment NIA is issued this week, we will focus on UL. After details of full UL is worked out, the modalities for free roaming will follow," he said.
As per the schedule, NIA will be issued on September 28.
