Of course you participated to win. Otherwise you wouldn't have voted for yourself. It's selfish to vote yourself and then write about how it's not about "winning". If you didn't care then you wouldn't have voted for yourself. A winner lets people choose!, they do not choose themselves even if they think whatever they did was original/of hard work/great/excellent, whatever whatever. Give others a chance.
