ਜਦੋਂ ਓੁਸ ਪੁਛਿਆ : "ਦੋਵਾਂ ਚੋਂ ਕੀ ਸ਼ੈ ਦੇ ਦਿਆਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ?"
ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਤੇ ਖੁਦਾ ਦਾ ਇਕ ਝਮੇਲਾ ਪੈ ਗਿਆ ਮੈਨੂੰ
ਸੋਚ ਕੇ ਆਖਿਆ : "ਮੈਂ ਕੀ ਕਰੂੰ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਕੈਦੀ ਨੂੰ,
ਜਿਨੂੰ ਰੱਬ ਸਹਿਕਦਾ, ਯਾਰੋ ! ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਦੇ ਦਿਓ ਮੈਨੂੰ"
