ਸੋਚੋ ਕੁਝ ਵਿਚਾਰੋ ਲੋਕੋ
ਨਾ ਕੁੱਖਾਂ ’ਚ ਧੀਆਂ ਮਾਰੋ ਲੋਕੋ।
ਹਾਅ ਏਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਲਗਜੂ ਥੋਨੂੰ,
ਨਰਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਰਾਹ ਦਿਖਾਉਣਗੀਆਂ।
ਜੇ ਏਦਾਂ ਹੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੁੜੀਆਂ,
ਨੂੰਹਾਂ ਕਿਥੋਂ ਆਉਣਗੀਆਂ।

ਬੱਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬੱਚਾ ਸਮਝੋ,
ਮੁੰਡਾ-ਕੁੜੀ ਨਾ ਜਾਣੋ।
ਦੋਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਰੋ ਪਰਿਵਰਸ਼ ਬਰਾਬਰ,
ਆਪਣਾ ਫ਼ਰਜ਼ ਪਛਾਣੋ।
ਕਿਸੇ ਹਾਲਤ ਵਿਚ ਹੋਵਣ ਧੀਆਂ,
ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਖ਼ੈਰ ਮਨਾਉਣਗੀਆਂ।

ਜੇ ਏਦਾਂ ਹੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੁੜੀਆਂ.......

ਵਿਚ ਬੁਢਾਪੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ-ਨੂੰਹਾਂ,
ਜਦ ਹੋ ਜਾਵਣ ਲਾਂਭੇ।
ਪੇਕੇ ਘਰ ਫਿਰ ਧੀ ਹੀ ਆ ਕੇ,
‘ਬਾਪੂ’ ਤਾਈਂ ਸਾਂਭੇ।
ਜੋ ਖਾਣ ਦੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਓਹਦੀ,
ਉਹੀਓ ਚੀਜ਼ ਖੁਆਉਣਗੀਆਂ।
ਜੇ ਏਦਾਂ ਹੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੁੜੀਆਂ......

ਮਾਦਾ ਭਰੂਣ ਹੱਤਿਆਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਹੜ੍ਹ,
ਅਲਟਰਾਸਾਊਂਡ ਲੈ ਆਈ।
ਘਟ ਕਰਤੀ ਕੁੜੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ,
ਮੁੰਡਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਹੋਂਦ ਵਧਾਈ।
ਮੁੰਡਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਆਹੁਣ ਦੀਆਂ ਵੀ,
ਹੁਣ ਚਿੰਤਾਵਾਂ ਖਾਣਗੀਆਂ।
ਜੇ ਏਦਾਂ ਹੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੁੜੀਆਂ.........

ਭਰੂਣ ਹੱਤਿਆਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਜੇਕਰ,
ਜਾਰੀ ਰਿਹਾ ਵਰਤਾਰਾ।
ਕਈ ਰਿਸ਼ਤਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਹੋਂਦ ਹੀ ਮਿਟਜੂ,
ਸੰਤੁਲਨ ਵਿਗੜਜੂ ਸਾਰਾ।
ਫੇਰ ਨਾਨਾ-ਨਾਨੀ ਕਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ,
ਲੱਭੀਆਂ ਵੀ ਨਾ ਥਿਆਉਣਗੀਆਂ।
