CWG 2010 IMPAVT ON INDIA'S ECONOMY
New Delhi: Commonwealth Games 2010 is expected to result in an overall economic impact of USD 4,940 million on India's GDP during a period of four years ending 2012 and create an employment opportunity close to 24.7 lakh.
According to a Games Organising Committee document, this figure is almost three times the economic impact the 2006 Melbourne Games had on Australian GDP.
"It is estimated that the Commonwealth Games 2010 would result in an overall economic impact of approximately USD 4,940 million on India over the period of 2008-12," the document said.
It said the 2002 Manchester Games created an impact of nearly USD 3,4000 million in Britain's, while the Melbourne Games created an impact of USD 1,600 million on Australia's GDP.

Colours of India come alive in CWG opening ceremony
In the end, it turned out like a perfect Indian wedding. Shrugging off all the heartburns, last-minute snafus and accompanying chaos, everything fell into place; and it left both the baraatis and the dulhanwaalahs, with huge smiles on their faces.
The next few days will tell us if the honeymoon too, if not the marriage itself, will be as successful.
A festive crowd of almost 60,000 packed the stadium and lustily cheered through the ceremony. They cheered former President A P J Abdul Kalam (who got the biggest hand), UPA chief Sonia Gandhi, Delhi CM Sheila Dikshit and other luminaries. They cheered the performers. They gave a standing ovation to the Indian contingent. And, in a truly moving moment that warmed the hearts of even the most cynical, they reserved the second-biggest round of applause for the Pakistani contingent. Prince Charles, representing Queen Elizabeth, the head of the Commonwealth, and President Pratibha Patil did the honours at the inaugural ceremony, amid thunderous cheers from the capacity 60,000 crowd.More than 4000 participants form 71 nations will be taking part in the games which take place till 14th October 2010.

Yup. I agree and believe same way.. ITs very easy to change yourself rather than others.. We have just misconception or ego problem when we say i cant change for others.. You can become anything u want to be.. its not so hard.. and its better to be loved and lost rather than not loved at all.. Try to behave the same way, you want others to be with u..:)

Naah.. I dont think there is any problem with education in foreign countries.. Sometimes students are not able to get into US Medical school because of GPA problem and less spaces in Medical schools. But if foreign school is accredited then, i dont see any problem with that. Even sometimes, bright students are not able to make it..and Medial profession is not something that if you are good with chemistry and physics in theory then you are best eligible for that it needs more of skill set to do all the procedures. Yeah, its there, foreign students have to go through eligibility certificate test and USMLE step1, 2 and 3 but in US, foreign students make 30% of total physicians. and they have good rapport too.. So no problem..
About Punjabi Medical entrances.. I dont like that system at all.. You cant judge someone's eligibility with 200-400 MCQ in PMT. this really need to get reviewed, and Medical Students are always under stress.. sometimes leads to depression too..I know how it feels.. :(.. and this SC and NRI quota.. this thing is very old.. People are doing it for ages.. and sometimes bright students are victim of this system..
