Touchless surgery Doctors in London are trialling "touchless" technology, often used in TV games, to help them carry out delicate keyhole surgeryThe system allows them to manipulate images with their voice and hand-gestures rather than using a keyboard and mouse.
Surgeons say it gives them more control and avoids disruption. Independent experts say this approach could become the norm over the next ten or 15 years. Surgeons are increasingly reliant on 3D images to carry out complex and delicate procedures. Surgeons at St Thomas' hospital in London are trialling gesture-based gaming technology to access and manipulate images. The system will be familiar to anyone who has used Kinect interactive games at home. This has been adapted to respond to surgeons voice commands and arm-movements during operations. The initial trial at St Thomas' hospital is in vascular surgery - in this case inserting a graft to repair a damaged aorta, the main blood vessel running through the body. Standing straight, arms raised like an conductor, the surgeon, Tom Carrell, issues commands to a Kinect sensor perched beneath a monitor displaying a 3D image of the patient's damaged aorta. With hand gestures he can pan across, zoom in and out, and rotate images. He can then lock the image and make markers to help ensure the graft is in exactly the right place " Easy to use" He says this direct control helps him to focus on the technical aspects of the operation. "Until recently I was shouting out across the operating theatre to tell someone to go up, down, left right. "But with the Kinect I'm able to get the position that I want quickly - and also without me having to handle non-sterile things like a keyboard or mouse during the procedure." Mr Carrell says the technology is easy to use. "The sensitivity is the main thing, but it's very simple gestures, like on a smart-phone. Once you know the gestures it's very intuitive." This is one of the first trials of its kind in the world. Some of the features - such as the voice control and gestures tailored to vascular surgery - are unique. 1128

Duppatta is very important part of Punjabi girls. It increases the smartness and proud of the women, but the traditional fashion of Punjabi girl is decreasing in Punjab due to the western culture. Instead of taking the duppatta on the head, girls/women wear it only around the neck. The present Punjabi girls became is now driven due to the glitz of western fashion in Punjab. They are much more confused by different combinations of dresses available in the market. Fasion designers have also show the importance of Duppatta and you might have seen dupatta also being emphasized in some fashion shows. First duppatta was taken on the both shoulders but now it’s mere a piece of cloth hanging on one of the shoulder or sometimes around the neck. 1137

On this time elder sister give the love of mother and also of sister to their young brother and take care of them. The sister always waits at the entrance for their young small brother to arrive back from the school and welcome him at the doors and sing in joy. “Veer padh ke school aiya Sagla de gungroo chanke” Many festivals are celebrated related on this realationship in our country. These festivals are heartly waited and celebrated by the brother and sister. Raksha Bandhan is also a such festival that relates to this love and relationship. Sister always wants that their brother to look much smart then others. Some songs are sing by the sisters on seeing their brother , who is going to the fair and a line form one of those songs sounds like “pagan kalian lagen payare Veer challan masian nu” Sisters also stand by their brothers in their happiness and sorrows even after marriage. Sister is always waiting for their brothers in their in-laws home and are overwhelmed when her brother comes to visti her. “uddi dhoor disa Awa veer da darshni bota” The girls are living with the proud in the home of the laws with the greatness of the their brothers. “kade khar ke vechen de witch garlan Jor bharavan de” The sisters always dream of having theor mother brother being married to a beatuful girl and sings songs on her brother marriage. “thakan na main veer de wieha de witen nachdi Sukhan sukhdi nu eh din aya” In the marriage of her brother she danced with her friends and present her happiness in the her sing like “mera veer saroo da butta, Bhato nehri chann vargi” The relationship of brother and sister is like a pure nectar and will have the same sweetness as long as the universe is. 1138
