Maybe it's just me, I feel like when you're visiting an exciting place, you lose more of yourself in taking pictures than enjoying the place itself from your eyes rather than through the camera. =/

You need A
- DSLR
-Few Different Lens
-Filters
-Tripod
-Camera Bag
-Blower
-Flashlight
-AAA batteries and Charger.
-Designer Camera Strap (Optional)
-And All other Stuff :D

And then you would feel like you are on the top of the world :))
