A MAGNITUDE 5.5 earthquake has rocked the south-east coast of Australia.

Seismologist recorded the massive murmur – almost 10km deep - at 8.53pm.

The mammoth quake spread itself statewide, reaching as far as 10km across south-west of Moe, 18km west of Morwell, 30km off Traralgon and 78km south-west of Sale.

Readers have swamped the Herald Sun with calls reporting significant tremors from everyone from the suburbs all the way across the state to country Victoria.

The tremor, which last about 20 seconds, has been felt from Kilmore, Gippsland, Mitcham, Coburg, Kensington, St Albans, Mornington Peninsula, Drouin, Rowville and inner-Melbourne.

The tremors have been felt by millions of people.

The people had put forward a petition for the area surrounding the red zone, to be turned into a water park. Something like that. I guess all they hype died down after a while.

Oh really. It's a shame for the red zone. To be honest, they shouldn't even be thinking about water theme parks and s--t. Rebuild the redzone!

Exactly. Its getting worse day by day. Red zone is the same as it was last year. Doesn't look like they've done much about it.
