this is such a shocking story for me. I'm closely affected. one of my best friends lives in that area. She didn't attend today. Thank God shes' okay. She knows many people that have been killed, including the gurudwara's president. Sg

The Gurudwara is located in Oak Creek, Which is a Suburb of Milwaukee, Wisconsin's largest city.
Sangat was around 250-400 people, according to CNN.

According to my close friend.. 30 people were shot
At this point she's saying 5 are killed, 25 are injured
and 20-30 still are being held hostage. Her friend's mom included.
This is according to a witness, so it's not confirmed news. She is at the scene, We are texting.

update: 1 police officer is wounded after exchange of gunfire with the gunman.

UPDATE: according to witnesses, the gunman was a bald, heavy set man. He carried 2 hand guns with him.

Update: This shooting is being described as a "Domestic Terrorist Act".

Let's all take a moment to thank and pray for the Police Officer who responded to the shooting.
He took bullets for the sangat, he is a Hero. He is in surgery, recovering from Gunshot wounds.
He is expected to survive. Rabb Rakha.
