Things I've learnt :/
« on: September 07, 2014, 11:45:07 PM »

Whilst the super sloww internet hinders me from doing my job, I thought
I'd share the few most valuable things I've learnt in the (almost) 26
years I've been alive. Feel free to contribute!

No matter what, people WILL judge you.
You can’t change people - only your reactions toward them.
Swallowing your pride and asking questions will teach you more in life
than lectures from the most expensive University.
Human nature is essentially selfish.
Forgive.
Not everybody will like you.
Relationships are about hard work, but trust your first instinct on
whether it WILL work or not.
Life is about choice, not chance.
One does not become any less if uses words that appear kind and polite to others.
Be careful with your words - it’s hard to get your foot out of your mouth
once it’s in there.
Sikhi is just beautiful. My life would be incomplete without it.
My Khalistan, the day it will be formed, will be too small; but tooo rich.
The world is growing too fast.
What you sow is what you reap.
Don’t rely on friends for happiness, they too will come and go, like seasons.
Be careful what you wish for.
Once it’s been said, it is likely to transpire.
Science and Religion can live peacefully, side by side.
People talk a lot, but deliver little.
First impressions are often misleading.
As a rule of thumb, men do not appreciate women with ambition.
If they don’t help you grow, let them go.
Never squander long-term goals to reach short-term ones.
Appreciate the little things you have, before they leave.
Love your parents.
Accept your flaws.
Nurture truth.
Read. Always. Never stop. Ever.
Time passes.
Memories fade.
Feelings change.
People leave but hearts NEVER forget.

Enjoy your life,
fulfill your dreams,
live like no tomorrow,
be happy and smile,
do mistakes and learn from them,
love while you have heart,
don't judge others,
don't take advantage,
offer help whenever you can,
be kind and polite to others,
respect your elders,
serve your parents,
bow to all the religions,
don't hate anyone,
keep up the good work
and remember
you are not good, you are not bad!

Bad News Is:
You cannot make people like,
love, understand,validate,accept
or be nice to you.
You can't control them either.

Good News Is:
It doesn't matter :)

There are certain things I've learnt in life as well. Some I learnt from my own personal experiences, some from the elder males in my life and some from other people's experiences.

So below listed are a few things that I learnt from the real life and these have to do with being a better man, a survivor and a leader whilst you fight through life.

1) Don’t bite off more than you can chew.

2) Never break a sweat even under high pressures.

3) Patience really is a virtue.

4) Life is too short for regrets.Better to learn from them and move on, than wasting too much time thinking about it, because you have already done it, haven't you?

5) Most people don’t forget, so never do anything bad to someone until they deserve it, or else be prepared for a cheap shot coming your way.

6) Decisions should always be made using the head than the heart.

7) From fear and respect - always choose fear for the enemies, because fear is a better deterrent.

8) Nothing lasts forever.

9) True men endure the pain rather than screaming and whining.

10) Always work to be reliable.

11) Punctuality is key.

12) Your wisdom is your greatest weapon, so embrace it!

13) Making a bad decision is better than being indecision.

14) Don’t smack bottlenecks.Rather try for not letting bottlenecks form, by treating everyone equally.

15) If you have to crush somebody, crush them with class!

16) If you’re not the one calling the shots, then probably you will not be a happy man.So, at some point of time in
life (not too late), every man must start working for himself than for somebody else.

17) Never let your emotions rule you.

18) When in doubt, follow your gut!

I'll add some more if I feel the need to.

Loved this one! x

Compassion is a universal language recognized by everything with a beating heart.

Not always the case mate. Not all hearts beat alike.. Not all hearts understand compassion.. If such was the case there would be less suffering in this world x

True, consistent with my "you can't change people, only your reactions towards them."

Good to hear the stuff you've learnt Ankhi. Loved #5,6. Lol #15 sounds bit harsh. I'm sure you meant to say 'indecisive' in #13

Come on people, type whilst you have fingers in good working order!

1 that you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you’ll see them.

2  you should never ruin an apology with an excuse.

3  no matter good a friend is, they're going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that
