Aussies, aussies, aussies. Jealous much?
« on: August 11, 2012, 07:06:14 AM »
:D: :D: :D: My mate lives in aus and he told me on the australian tv, while they were watching the olympics, it only showed the top 9 countries in the medal table, NZ was 10th at the time. They deliberately excluded NZ. What a bunch of snobs australians are

Shame on your australians. Accept defeat for once

Oh and aussies wanted to NZ to be included in Australia, similar to Great Britain :loll: Look at this:

I saw that picture except it's not right, the medal counts. Amusing though. Yet aussies claim we want to be a part of them, clearly we don't. We're far enough from them and frankly, better as a nation of sports-people

Exactly. If they win, they never leave a chance to rub it in and if they lose then we are supposed to be a "team".  :loll:

Actually they still won, they came 9th. New Zealand came 14th.

But don't worry Kiwis, you all won if you look at the medals mathematically. The olympics are all about bigger countries winning more medals (except India of course). But this is unfair to the less populous countries. So we have medalspercapita.com, which shows medals proportionally to the size (like the name implies). And NZ came 3rd:

#   Country Medals   Population   Population per Medal
1   Grenada   1   110,821   110,821
2   Jamaica   10   2,705,827   270,582
3   N Zealand   13   4,432,620   340,970

BTW, India finishes last. So you should be proud of yourself.

No no this was while ago, not the current medal tally when NZ ranked on the 10th place and australia was 19th  by capita, i agree we rock that s--t. Jamaica and grenada? Hahah you are kidding me! how unfortunate for india, but i'm a little glad, i get to mock my partner about it
