Panasonic to Release World's First 100GB BD-RE XL Discs

Panasonic will be the first company to release rewritable BDXL media (BD-RE XL) under its brand later this month in Japan, priced at 10,000 Yen (US $119).

The company announced that the new "LM-BE100J" discs will be released in the middle of April and will be able to hold up to 100GB of data on three layers.

Until now, only write-once BD-R XL discs were available on the market.

The new rewritable BDXL (BD-RE XL) media conform to the RE4 Format Specification (BDXL), defined by the Blu-ray Disc Association (BDA) in June 2010 as a multi-layered rewritable in BDAV with the speed of 2X and 4X. (System Description Blu-ray Disc Rewritable Part 3: Audio Visual Basic Specifications Ver.4.01 Sept. 2010 together with System Description Blu-ray Disc Rewritable Format Part 3: Audio Visual Basic Specifications Ver.2.13 Sept. 2010).

The 2x disc is compatible with Panasonic's recently released BZT900 BDXL recorder and using the DR mode, it can hold up to 12 hours of digital terrestrial (17Mbps) content, or 9 hours of BS digital (24Mbps) content.

Using high-precision layer stack technology, Panasonic has managed to make a 3-layer optical medium with stable recording and playback characteristics. In addition, the discs feature a proprietary protective hard coating technology against scratches and fingerprints.

redsn0w untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.3.1 released for Windows and OS X, lacks iPad 2 support

If you've been waiting for a nice, easy jailbreak solution for iOS 4.3.1, then today's your lucky day: Dev-Team's just released redsn0w 0.9.6rc9 for both Windows and OS X, allowing us mere mortals to free our supported devices -- iPhone 3GS, 4 (GSM); iPod touch 3G, 4G; iPad 1; and Apple TV 2G -- with a few simple clicks. Alas, there are a couple of caveats: the iPad 2 isn't supported here, as Cupertino has somehow managed to tighten up its security to fend off hackers (for now); and ultrasn0w users have also been told to hang tight until there's a compatibility fix -- Dev-Team will announce on Twitter when this becomes available. As for those who are eligible for this new jailbreak, head over to Dev-Team's website for the download links, and make sure you have the corresponding IPSW files handy as well -- you can find them over at iClarified or on your favorite search engine.

Best-Worst Airports in the world

A report leaked from the Airports International Council, that call themselves ‘The Voice of the World’s Airports’ has shown Australia’s airports leave much to be desired compared to their international counterparts. Melbourne airport was by far the most embarrassing, coming in at number 104.

Of Australia’s airports, Sydney ranked the highest at number 67. This was followed by Townsville 71st place, Adelaide at 72, and the Gold Coast at 75. Australia was even topped by New Zealand’s Auckland Airport which came in at number 63.

European Airports didn’t fare much better though, with London Heathrow coming in at number 99, Amsterdam’s Schipol International at 93 and Paris’ Charles de Gaulle at 137. Iceland, Switzerland and Portugal took out the top 3 spots in Europe, and it comes as no surprise that Tel Aviv, Abu Dhabi and Dubai were the highest ranked in the Middle East.

Asian Airports took out the highest rankings overall, with South Korea’s Incheon International Airport taking out the number one spot for best airport worldwide, in Asia and by size. Singapore International came in at number 2, Hong Kong at 3 and Beijing at 4 and India’s Hyderabad placed 5th. It has not yet been released who placed at the bottom of the list

The survey is conducted each year by the Council, which is made up of airport operators around the world. They claim that despite this, the reports are unbiased and that rankings are derived from identical questionnaires given to passengers at each of the terminals.
The report ranks the world’s 216 major airports into the categories of Best Airports Worldwide, Best Airport by Region, Best Improved Award by Region and Best Airport by Size.

Sports Khelan / Re: Shahid Afridi rips on Pak media about hating India
« on: April 03, 2011, 05:40:44 AM »
He Starts as " I don't understand the thinking of people of this country why you hate(NAFRAT) India that much ? ?, Why are we against(Khilaaf) India that much ?
Why Do we sit with the hatred amongst in our hearts for Indians , aren't there other teams?"

If thats the case then why is that in our home we have Indian channels with Indian TV dramas/programs? Every Marriage(shaadi) rituals are now being followed as per Indian Customs .

We watch alot of Indian movies in our homes.. then what is this HATE all about?

There are other things too Its a game and if we take game as a sports then there shouldnt be any issue!!
