I just watched a FALTU movie and didn't want to lose a chance to write what I always thought.
Education system in India & most of the other countries: Is it really Fair ?
Some people are smart and other are not that smart. Some pass with higher grades and some just manage to pass somehow. People then classify them as "Smart " and "Dumb".
Educational institutes specially in India demand higher percentage students to enroll in their college and what happens to the people those who just manage to pass? Those who just manage to get seat in the college for engineering and MBBS/BDS (doctor) or management studies are just surviving somehow. So many people commit suicide just because of this.
They teach us in schools, colleges and higher institutes that DO NOT BULLY , and don't discriminate people. Well that's not true. Colleges themselves create boundaries for people to separate them : Good students / bad students, Smart students/Dumb student, Rich /Poor Students.
We talk a lot about innovation isn't it ? Where is the innovation and Science when it comes to know the Requirements of the Student who is lacking in studies?
Parents should also learn about their children and about their likings. Parents just want their son/daughter to be something they like them to be. Its like pushing them so hard to achieve something that has no meaning for them even if they get it.
What I think is it doesn't matter what you do , how much you earn, what is your house like , doesn't matter what car you drive...at the end of the day all you need is a meal to survive isn't it?
I just wanted to get your views about this.
Do you think education systems are good enough? Do they really see the potential in everyone?
thanks guys

Panasonic to Release World's First 100GB BD-RE XL Discs Panasonic will be the first company to release rewritable BDXL media (BD-RE XL) under its brand later this month in Japan, priced at 10,000 Yen (US $119). The company announced that the new "LM-BE100J" discs will be released in the middle of April and will be able to hold up to 100GB of data on three layers. Until now, only write-once BD-R XL discs were available on the market. The new rewritable BDXL (BD-RE XL) media conform to the RE4 Format Specification (BDXL), defined by the Blu-ray Disc Association (BDA) in June 2010 as a multi-layered rewritable in BDAV with the speed of 2X and 4X. (System Description Blu-ray Disc Rewritable Part 3: Audio Visual Basic Specifications Ver.4.01 Sept. 2010 together with System Description Blu-ray Disc Rewritable Format Part 3: Audio Visual Basic Specifications Ver.2.13 Sept. 2010). The 2x disc is compatible with Panasonic's recently released BZT900 BDXL recorder and using the DR mode, it can hold up to 12 hours of digital terrestrial (17Mbps) content, or 9 hours of BS digital (24Mbps) content. Using high-precision layer stack technology, Panasonic has managed to make a 3-layer optical medium with stable recording and playback characteristics. In addition, the discs feature a proprietary protective hard coating technology against scratches and fingerprints.

redsn0w untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.3.1 released for Windows and OS X, lacks iPad 2 support If you've been waiting for a nice, easy jailbreak solution for iOS 4.3.1, then today's your lucky day: Dev-Team's just released redsn0w 0.9.6rc9 for both Windows and OS X, allowing us mere mortals to free our supported devices -- iPhone 3GS, 4 (GSM); iPod touch 3G, 4G; iPad 1; and Apple TV 2G -- with a few simple clicks. Alas, there are a couple of caveats: the iPad 2 isn't supported here, as Cupertino has somehow managed to tighten up its security to fend off hackers (for now); and ultrasn0w users have also been told to hang tight until there's a compatibility fix -- Dev-Team will announce on Twitter when this becomes available. As for those who are eligible for this new jailbreak, head over to Dev-Team's website for the download links, and make sure you have the corresponding IPSW files handy as well -- you can find them over at iClarified or on your favorite search engine.

Best-Worst Airports in the world A report leaked from the Airports International Council, that call themselves ‘The Voice of the World’s Airports’ has shown Australia’s airports leave much to be desired compared to their international counterparts. Melbourne airport was by far the most embarrassing, coming in at number 104. Of Australia’s airports, Sydney ranked the highest at number 67. This was followed by Townsville 71st place, Adelaide at 72, and the Gold Coast at 75. Australia was even topped by New Zealand’s Auckland Airport which came in at number 63. European Airports didn’t fare much better though, with London Heathrow coming in at number 99, Amsterdam’s Schipol International at 93 and Paris’ Charles de Gaulle at 137. Iceland, Switzerland and Portugal took out the top 3 spots in Europe, and it comes as no surprise that Tel Aviv, Abu Dhabi and Dubai were the highest ranked in the Middle East. Asian Airports took out the highest rankings overall, with South Korea’s Incheon International Airport taking out the number one spot for best airport worldwide, in Asia and by size. Singapore International came in at number 2, Hong Kong at 3 and Beijing at 4 and India’s Hyderabad placed 5th. It has not yet been released who placed at the bottom of the list The survey is conducted each year by the Council, which is made up of airport operators around the world. They claim that despite this, the reports are unbiased and that rankings are derived from identical questionnaires given to passengers at each of the terminals. The report ranks the world’s 216 major airports into the categories of Best Airports Worldwide, Best Airport by Region, Best Improved Award by Region and Best Airport by Size.

A Melbourne taxi driver says getting a cab tomorrow night will be "next to impossible", with many Indian drivers taking the night off to watch the cricket. India takes on Sri Lanka in the Cricket World Cup final tomorrow night. Vinny Singh, who has been driving taxis is Melbourne for five years, says he knows at least 100 drivers who will be taking the night off to watch the game. He is warning Melbourne residents not to rely on getting a taxi on Saturday night. "I think it will be next to impossible, because I think that a lot of Indian students who are driving cabs in the night, as part of their part-time job, will be having a day off," he said. "They will be supporting their country, their nation and their players, taking a day off tomorrow and watching cricket." Mark Langton, a taxi operator who runs a fleet of 50 cabs, is expecting several drivers to pull out of work, but hopes he will be able to cover the shifts. "We'll be using a lot of our newer recruits, people that might otherwise not get a shift," he said. "It'll be like a football team with a few injuries, you'll have to pull up some of the reserve players." But the Victorian Taxi Association's David Samuel says the match will not lead to a taxi shortage. "As far as we're concerned, it'll be like any other Saturday night," he said. "Most taxi drivers don't have the luxury to be able to not work Saturday night. It's a good night for them in terms of income. I'm sure they'll be out there trying to earn a buck."

Infiniti ETHEREA Concept ETHEREA’s segment-busting appeal is based on the coming together of several vehicles styles. It is part elegant coupe, part spacious sedan, part practical hatchback and even part tall crossover. And being an Infiniti, there is also a large helping of sports car in the way it drives. Like all Infinitis, ETHEREA puts driving pleasure high up alongside design. The concept car has been designed for a potent yet highly efficient hybrid drivetrain based around an in-house platform and the innovative one electric motor/twin clutch system used in the Infiniti M35h, the marque’s first hybrid currently going on sale around Europe. A supercharged 2.5-liter 4-cylinder petrol engine developing 245 horsepower provides quick response and strong acceleration throughout the performance range. Boosting power when more is needed, and providing silent, emission-free driving at low speeds, is an electric motor. The transmission is a continuously variable (CVT) type and, in an Infiniti first, drive is to the front wheels. Like the M35h, the hybrid powertrain is designed to use clean electric power more often, for longer periods and at higher speeds than hybrids generally manage, endowing ETHEREA with a hybrid’s advantages out on the open road as well as in busy city streets. This maximizes efficiency and cuts CO2 emissions even further while imposing no compromises on the driving front. Independent suspension, regenerative braking and advanced drive-by-wire electric/hydraulic steering further enhance the balance between performance and greenness.

Toyota Yaris Hybrid Concept The Yaris HSD concept makes its world debut at the Geneva motor show, marking an important step in the company’s strategy for rolling out full hybrid technology across its European model line-up. Toyota’s goal is to offer full hybrid power in all its models in Europe as early as possible in the 2020s, a programme which began in 2010 with launch of Auris HSD in the C-segment. Yaris HSD will bring Hybrid Synergy Drive to the supermini B-segment, which accounts for the largest share of the European new car market. The current growth of the B-segment is one aspect of a shift in public demand. Customers are becoming less brand-loyal, more open to products outside the mainstream and more receptive to new technologies. Hybrid Synergy Drive in the B-segmentFuel efficiency and low CO2 emissions are established attractive qualities in the B-segment. Toyota’s Hybrid Synergy Drive will carry these forward with the additional benefit of offering fully electric driving capability – a function that is particularly effective in urban environments. In all-electric EV mode the system produces zero CO2, NOx and particulates tailpipe emissions.
