eq 1: h+n=31
eq 2: h-30=n
substitute eq 2 in eq 1:
h + (h - 30) = 31
2h = 30+31
h = 30.5
Now we know h, use it in eq 2:
h-30 = n
30.5-30 = n
.5 = n
Nail is .5 rs and Hammer is 30.5 rs.
