Lolzzz. u both are talking like gurlss.....
ohh lolzzz u bt r gurlzzz...

I think there are many sites out there on internet which will give us better knowledge about what sikh is and what sikhi is???
I myself is not a puran gur sikh but i guess can share little bit about sikhi as we all are manmukh and we are so much busy in our lives that many of us hardly take time for waheguruji....

As far as Sikhi is concern patit sikh can not be called SIKH in no way and by patit sikh I mean all those who cut's their hair's ( The idiology of the people is that nowadays nothing matters which is a thinking of manmukh that why i mentioned we all are manmukh.... so called idiots)...

Thing is to be called a true Sikh you should take amrit in your life and live d life out 10 gurus lived and follows only guru granth sahib ji....

Punj kakaars are mandatory part of being a SIKH....
Talking about punj kakaars

1. kesh- gurujis has given us a unique identity . to be recognized sikhs...
old warriors ...including rajputs and other marshal caste does not cut their hairs... nd d important thing is its natural its god given and we should not trim or cut them.. tough many of us dooo....nyways..

2. Kanga- to dress up hairs.. nywhr ny time

3. kachera- it shows character of an individual... and an easy to wear.

4. kirpan- for self protection and for the protection of needy one..

5. kada (iron bangle)- should be of iron..no gold, silver whaeva.... it shows we are not superstitious...

and rehat maryada is important....always do simran ... path of 5 banis..

SIKH's are not superstitious and they do not follow or workship idols,........

Sikh's does not consumes alcohols and eatables related to tobacco ........
well sikh who eats tobacco infact not even near to be called a sikh..

well there is lot more.......
bt i guess.... ohh philosophers da kam hai....

AND who does not follow all these is called a PATIT SIKH....

rest all whatever we ppl say or do does not matter bcoz its just for making ourself happy...

FATEH

Two Decades And One Thought....

It’s been 21 years since the capital saw the 1984 “Anti Sikh” riots in the capital. The so called metropolitan city and one of the most modern cities of India was burning in pain. People who happen to survive the partitioning 50 years back were once again a part of extreme brutality in a more grotesque manner in 1984. The Sikh families in Delhi must have felt like refugees in their own country. Thousands of Sikhs had to suffer because of a single wrong action taken by a Sikh body-guard, who killed Ms. Indira Gandhi.
Every action added one on to the other. Today most of us are least bothered about what happened 20 years back, probably because none of our dear ones suffered with the terror in 1984 but can we forget people like Rishpal Singh, who lost his entire paternal side during the 1984 riots. Hundreds of Sardars were pulled out from the narrow lanes of Gumti area and set to fire in front of their shrieking women and yelling kids. Not even a single person came for their help. In fact the Sikh boys who use to play with colourful turbans had chopped off their hair just to escape death. Still 4000 thousand people were murdered in three days, some were simply butchered others were killed by putting a burning tier down till their waist. No one of us can feel that pain. Few know that it is impossible to take that burning tyre out of your body.
When all this was going on, according to eye-witnesses and police records, the first priority of police officers was to disarm Sikhs, even though it was they who were under attack.
There was an incident where a Sikh Jawan was pulled down from train, his turban was kicked and he was stabbed in chest. Yet this country, till date, relies on the Sikh regiment whenever a major operation is requested against emergency. It’s because these people are strength of our country, and they will always be. These are people who were targeted during the riots, these were the one who were killed during the black period, these were the people who were asking for help from us to save their lives but then these are people who send their sons to borders to fight for us. They are alert there, so that we can sleep here.
Today, after 20 years, when the Prime Minister of India has announced compensation for the riot victims, I don’t think that this will solve the issue. This exercise is just to hide the brutal act done by the government. The money given can definitely be a sign of relief to the people who have been fighting for justice for past 20 years. But how can that money be justified against the brutal act done by the senior leaders like Jagdish tytler of the congress party and the famous shameful explanation given by Late Mr. Rajiv Gandhi, “When a mighty tree falls, the earth is bound to shake”

An atheist professor of philosophy speaks to his
class on the problem science has with God, The
Almighty.
He asks one of his new students to stand and.....

Prof: So you believe in God?

Student: Absolutely, sir.

Prof: Is God good?

Student: Sure.

Prof: Is God all-powerful?

Student : Yes.

Prof: My brother died of cancer even though he prayed
to God to heal him.
Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill.
But God didn't. How is this God good then? Hmm?

(Student is silent.)

Prof: You can't answer, can you? Let's start again,
young fella. Is
God good?

Student :Yes.

Prof: Is Satan good?

Student : No.

Prof: Where does Satan come from?

Student : From...God...

Prof: That's right. Tell me son, is there evil in this
world?

Student : Yes.

Prof: Evil is everywhere, isn't it? And God did make
everything.
Correct?

Student : Yes.

Prof: So who created evil?

(Student does not answer.)

Prof: Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness?

All these terrible things exist in the world, don't
they?

Student :Yes, sir.

Prof: So, who created them?

(Student has no answer.)

Prof: Science says you have 5 senses you use to
identify and observe the world around you. Tell me, son...Have you
ever
seen God?

Student : No, sir.

Prof: Tell us if you have ever heard your God?

Student : No , sir.

Prof: Have you ever felt your God, tasted your God,
smelled your God?
Have you ever had any sensory perception of God for
that matter?

Student : No, sir. I'm afraid I haven't.

Prof: Yet you still believe in Him?

Student : Yes.

Prof: According to empirical, testable, demonstrable
protocol, science says your GOD doesn't exist. What do you say to
that,
son?

Student : Nothing. I only have my faith.

Prof: Yes. Faith. And that is the problem science has.

Student : Professor, is there such a thing as heat?

Prof: Yes.

Student : And is there such a thing as cold?

Prof: Yes.

Student : No sir. There isn't.

(The lecture theatre becomes very quiet with this turn
of events.)

Student : Sir, you can have lots of heat, even more
heat, superheat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat. But
we
don't have anything called cold. We can hit 458 degrees below zero
which
is no heat, but we can't go any further after that. There is no such
thing
as cold. Cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat.
We
cannot measure cold. Heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat,
sir, just the absence of it.

(There is pin-drop silence in the lecture theatre.)

Student : What about darkness, Professor? Is there
such a thing as darkness?

Prof: Yes. What is night if there isn't darkness?

Student : You're wrong again, sir. Darkness is the
absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright
light, flashing light.... But if you have no light constantly, you have
nothing and it's called darkness, isn't it? In reality, darkness
isn't. If
it were, you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn't you?

Prof: So what is the point you are making, young man?

Student : Sir, my point is your philosophical premise
is flawed.

Prof: Flawed? Can you explain how?

Student : Sir, you are working on the premise of
duality.
You argue there is life and then there is death, a
good God and a bad God.
You are viewing the concept of God as something
finite, something we can measure. Sir, science can't even explain a
thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much
less
fully
understood either one. To view death as the opposite
of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a
substantive thing.
Death is not the opposite of life: just the absence of
it.
Now tell me, Professor. Do you teach your students
that they evolved from a monkey?

Prof: If you are referring to the natural evolutionary
process, yes, of course, I do.

Student : Have you ever observed evolution with your
own eyes, sir?

(The Professor shakes his head with a smile, beginning
to realize where the argument is going.)

Student : Since no one has ever observed the process
of evolution at
work and cannot even prove that this process is an
on-going
endeavor, are you not teaching your opinion, sir?

Are you not a scientist but a preacher?

(The class is in uproar.)

Student : Is there anyone in the class who has ever
seen the Professor's brain?

The class breaks out into laughter.)

Student : Is there anyone here who has ever heard the
Professor'sbrain, felt it, touched or smelled it?.....No one appears
to
have done so. So, according to the established rules of empirical,
stable,
demonstrable protocol, science says that you have no brain, sir. With
all
due respect, sir, how do we then trust your lectures, sir?

(The room is silent. The professor stares at the
student, his face unfathomable.)

Prof: I guess you'll have to take them on faith, son.

Student : That is it, sir.. The link between man & god
is FAITH. That is all that keeps things moving & alive.

That young man was ALBERT EINSTEIN.......
