Chandra Bahadur Dangi, a 72-year-old Nepali who claims to be the world's shortest man at 56 centimetres (22 inches) tall, takes part in a media conference in Jhapa district, southeastern Nepal. The record is currently held by Junrey Balawing of the Philippines, who measures 59.93cm. He took the title last year from another Nepali man, Khagendra Thapa Magar, who measured 67cm.
