To secure the release of Davinder Pal Singh Bhullar and to demand his return to Germany, which has already agreed to take him back, the All India Sikh Students Federation (AISSF) and Sikhs For Justice (SFJ) will give a memorandum to the President Pratibha Devi Singh Patil on July 15. They will also hold a rally in Delhi on the same day and start a “Civil Disobedience” Movement. Karnail Singh Peermohammad, President AISSF told The Indian Express, “During ‘Civil Disobedience’ starting from July 15, the AISSF will launch a campaign urging the public to clog and burden the Postal Service by sending “unstamped” letters addressed to President demanding release of Bhullar to put pressure on the President to order the release of Bhullar.’’ He said that the AISSF have asked Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and PPC Chief Captain Amrinder Singh to address the July 15, 2011 rally to ‘save Bhullar’ at Jantar Mantar. “Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and Punjab Pradesh Congress President Captain Amrinder Singh have already demanded the commutation of Bhullar’s sentence.
