It hurts
When you don't talk
It hurts
When you don't touch
It hurts
When you're first on my list
But I'm only seventh or such
It hurts
When you don't care
Or even seem to like it
When I'm not there
It hurts
when you give your day away

She says there is always someone
Who loves the most and someone
Who loves the least
And
I believe her

Cause it hurts
When I come second
Or
You don't bother
To think about me
It hurts
That I love the most
And it hurts
That you love the least

News Khabran / Farmer makes manure valentine for his wife
« on: February 13, 2010, 07:58:33 PM »
ALBERT LEA, Minn., Feb. 13 -- A Minnesota farmer's wife has received a valentine possibly only a farmer's wife could appreciate -- a half-mile-wide heart outlined in cow manure.

Bruce Andersland spent hours with a manure spreader hitched to his tractor Wednesday and Thursday creating the heart, the Albert Lea Tribune, Minn., reported. It is in a square-mile field 12 miles outside of Albert Lea that has belonged to his family for 87 years.

Once he finished the job, Andersland hired a pilot to take a picture of the heart from the air, the only place to see it properly.

Beth Andersland, who has been married to Bruce for 37 years, found out what her husband was up to Wednesday night when she found the design of the heart, complete with arrow, on a piece of scrap paper in his jacket pocket. She told the Tribune the valentine is the biggest she has ever received.

"He thinks of cute things to do once in a while, so I was a little surprised," she said.

Beth Andersland raises purebred Simmental cattle so she is familiar with manure. She said snow mixed with the manure made the valentine somewhat lighter -- although it also provided a light background.

News Khabran / Hollywood sign makeover prompts confusion
« on: February 13, 2010, 07:53:40 PM »
LOS ANGELES, Feb. 13 -- Residents and tourists in Los Angeles say seeing the letters of the famed Hollywood sign altered for a protest was both amusing and confusing.

Holly Montgomery, a visitor from Minnesota, said she was excited to photograph the famous giant letters during her visit to Los Angeles, but a covering the letters with a "Save the Peak" mesh sign only proved confusing as the sign temporarily read "Saveypood," The New York Daily News said.

"What's a 'Pood,' and who's trying to save it?" Montgomery, 44, said of Friday's preparations for a protest against an area development.

The "Save the Peak" campaign is in opposition to plans to build four luxury homes near the famed Hollywood sign.

The Trust for Public Land is attempting to use the altered landmark sign to raise enough funds to purchase the plot where the homes are to be built.

Los Angeles resident Don Diers told the Daily News he used Friday's sign switch to capture a rare, albeit immature, photograph.

"I just framed a photo with a lamppost so it says, 'Save Poo,'" Diers, 51, said. "I know I'm too old for scatological jokes, but I couldn't resist."

Jokes Majaak / Another Blonde Joke
« on: February 13, 2010, 07:33:48 PM »

A girl was visiting her blonde friend who had acquired two new dogs, and asked her what their names were.

The blonde responded by saying that one was named Rolex and one was named Timex.

Her friend said, "Whoever heard of someone naming dogs like that?

"HELLOOOooo," answered the blonde. "They're watch dogs!"

Jokes Majaak / Virgins v/s Virginians
« on: February 13, 2010, 07:13:04 PM »

After his death, Osama bin Laden went to paradise. He was greeted by George Washington, who slapped him across the face and yelled, "How dare you attack the nation I helped conceive!"

Patrick Henry punched him in the nose and shouted, "You wanted to end America's liberty, but you failed."

James Madison appeared, kicked him in the crotch, and said, "This is why I allowed the government to provide for the common defense."

Bin Laden was subjected to similar beatings from James Randolph, James Monroe, Thomas Jefferson and 66 other early Americans.

As he writhed in pain on the ground, an angel appeared. Bin Laden said, "This was not what I was promised."

The angel replied, " I told you there would be 72 Virginians waiting for you. What did you think I said?"
