Well such attitude doesn't befit them. Anyway, focus as much as you can. Algebra is easy.. Just learn the formulae at your fingers' end and you should be able to solve the problems hands down. Most of them are given in examples, read them and then goto exercises, you'd note that similar kinda stuff is asked there as well. End of the day it is you who has to sit for exams not them. So..
