Exactly

Anyway we could go on and on and onnnn but I think its better to leave it.. Because we both dont share the same thinking so.. :pagel:
Compromise.

An another fact that everyone would agree with.
The differences that we see between western and eastern cultures and have been created just because the western people are centuries ahead than eastern.
No wonder, the eastern culture would be totally like western culture is now. As they westerns are leading the world and eastern are following the western culture.

That's true eh

I eat anywhere. My parents are absolutely against it, you know because they're rich, professional and somewhat disciplined. They prefer if we all eat at the table and s--t like that, properly seated, apparently there's even a proper way of eating and that's to 'chew your food properly and don't talk when your mouth's full, don't make noises when you're drinking' and other crap. My brothers and i really don't give a s--t so that's why our parents have given up on us.

Thanks ryder for the following information.

Punjabi and Hindi are actually two different languages with their own respective scripts, and not dialects.

Punjabi is a state language and Hindi is a national language.

Punjabi sounds somewhat similar to Hindi many a times with it's vocabulary because they've both originated from Sanskrit(the mother of all INDIAN** languages).

To answer your query, you would write "bh" as "p" only while writing in the Punjabi scritpts.
Punjabi has two scripts; Gurmukhi(the Sikh script and is used in the Indian Punjab) and Shahmukhi(a Persian script used in the Pakistan Punjab and has a more Urdu touch).

You can write "bhaande" for "paande" here in English if you like, it wouldn't matter because eventually it is going to be pronounced as "paande" only, and English is not the script for Punjabi too.

Also to keep one thing in notice is that you pronounce the "oo" of Hindi as "u" in Punjabi.
Example : Bhookh(Hindi) = Pukh(Punjabi)

The long sounding "oo" gets shortened to "u".

To add further more, examples of dialects of Hindi are Rajasthani, Haryanvi and more...
These two as examples, are the dialects of Hindi, they share the same vocabulary family as that of Hindi but some words may differ alot and also the pronounciations, but they use the same script as that of Hindi I.e, Devanagri.
Rajasthani and Haryanvi are dialects, so they're not one of the official languages of India like Punjabi, Bengali, Assamese, Tamil and many more...

Bet the manager is a family member, a relative or a close friend

473

You give your "marriage many chances" because you don't really have a choice.

Wrong! We don't only give our marriage many chances, we give all our relations many chances in life. Because we have been teached how to forget and forgive. We know the value of our relationships, doesn't matter what kind of relation it is  that doesn't mean we don't have other options. Of course we do..

Your family's pressuring you to have arranged marriage, and if it doesn't work out. You'll probably end up on your own, divorced, frowned upon and shunned by society.

Wrong again :pagel: You just said "your family's".. Means you are trying to say forced marriages happen in each and every asian country? How can you, or anyone els say these things happen in every family? Insane people with weird and unfair thinking can be everywhere in the world.. and those few people do not represent the whole country ;) So be careful before giving such a statement.

You're not really "fighting", you're staying put. Whilst if that was a westerner, he/she would run away(putting their lives on danger, young or old, alone or not) or spend $$$ filing for divorce, would not care about what society/her family would think etc.

:he: once again wrong...  Of course we fight for our relation. If we didnt care about our relations we would never fight for them and would not even try maintain them by giving them new chances.

Like I said before.. This is one of the main difference between us and the western people.. Say it or not but we are a way stronger because we don't just give up easily on or relations.. Most of the westerns do..

Like you said it yourself.. They even run a way.. :lost: why? because they are not strong.. They are a bit selfish.. I believe walking away and making an end is easier than not going anywhere and putting all your effort to make things work.. One needs a lot of strenght, patience, faith and love for being able to do so

You could be right about Westerns willing to pay €€€€ for divorce because they think they will be able to buy happines by spending money for a divorce.. But we say hapiness cannot be buyed nor relations

I feel proud to say that not only we (indian/pakistani in short asian girls)
But also our brothers, husbands, cousins, fathers ect dont lose hope in any relation as fast as the westerns do  :won:

However you're right about the western thinking part.

:pagel: I'm glad atleast you agreed on something

I beg to differ. And it doesn't make me wrong that that is how we westerners see, feel and think. A stranger is not your relation, not by blood anyway because if you were set up to marry a blood relative, we would be a lot more concerned about that. Staying with someone that you barely know or love is like trying to light a fire without a match. And by the way i didn't say every asian country does, you completely misunderstood me. It's not a selfish thing to run away from a set up marriage, it is like you're agreeing to being raped. Hahahahahaha. Really though it's your opinion and it doesn't make you right
