 As you might've heard, yes my bf wants to grow a beard and wear a turban. I don't want him to. He's absolutely fine the way he is. Anyhow, would you guys follow the 5 k's? Or eventually will do? And mates, if you ever decide to get a gf, at least, let them know beforehand. It sucks being in my shoes atm. I never thought he'd wear a turban and definitely not with a beard, it's just not him!

Alright, before you guys say anything, please! try and see this from both perspectives and not just the 'punjabi point of view' or 'the sikhism ways'. You can try and help us(both parties benefits) or you don't.
My bf txt me, he said he wants to wear a turban and grow a beard. I could tell, he was trying to be excited to tell me, my reply was "Are you joking?". He guessed that i wasn't too thrilled about it and i knew he was very disappointed. He wanted my support. I just, couldn't comment at the time. I didn't know what to say. So i told him not to rush into it and let's talk about it thoroughly. The thing is, we love each other no doubt, we want both parties to be happy, i love him the way he is right now and i don't want him to change. I know what you guys are going to say, if i love him truly, i shouldn't mind him wearing a turban and growing a beard. It's just, this is so much to take in, in 1 day. And oh god, i can't picture it in my mind. I told him there are punjabi people out there that don't wear turbans or have beards and it doesn't make them less of a sikh. He said he wants to be a "proper sikh". Is there such thing? Does it make him less of a sikh because he doesn't wear a turban? And yes truth to be told, of course i want to convince him, he's fine the way he is but in order for me to do this, i need you guys to help me. I don't know much about sikhism.

Basically when you're going to be away from school, what we gotta do is, bring a note to school the day before with a valid explanation, then give them a ring the next day that you're absent(if you don't, they'll hunt you down, as in they'll ring your parents, if nobody picks up, they'll call another rellie until they get hold of someone), the next morning you comeback to school, you gotta bring another note explaining yourself. If you fail to do those 3, you'll have to see your deans or get a detention. :laugh:  :

An English school teacher being investigated over his relationship with an eight-year-old girl set fire to himself shortly after sending the child a message saying "I love you".
An inquest into Neil Wilkes' death last week heard the 29-year-old was accused of having an inappropriate relationship with the girl he was tutoring privately, The Bolton News reports.
The body of Wilkes, who was from Derbyshire, was found by a walker near Blue John Cavern, a tourist spot, on October 23 last year.
A petrol can and matches were found near Mr Wilkes, who had suffered burns 90 percent to his body.
At 10pm the night before he was found dead, Mr Wilkes sent a text message to the girl saying "I love you and I always will".
Mr Wilkes' father told Derbyshire Coroner's Court his son had become "something of a father figure" in the girl's family and was included on family outings.
But he was ordered to stay away from them during the investigation and suspended from work.
No charges were ever laid against Mr Wilkes but the family severed contact with him.
Deputy Coroner Nigel Anderson told the inquest by the end of the investigation Mr Wilkes was reaching the end and "had simply had enough".
"There is a clear trigger which led to his depression and ultimately his death," Mr Anderson said.
He recorded a verdict that Mr Wilkes took his own life.

So he really has no idea what to get, but right now, he's leaning towards a honda or a mazda. I reckon a honda would be good. But god help me, help him. He kind o' has bad taste in cars. Any suggestions would be good, i've got a few load up on my mind but they're so expensive. And not only is he buying a new car, he wants a new cellphone too and god knows what else.
