Tring not to sound self promoting, but as you may have seen on my other two posts, I am one of them..I have been told I speak with a thick western accent, but so what...I have also been told I am one of only 1% that can read and write in it ( although my grammar is effected by English Grammar, but this may be true according to one University survey of all those born out here) and have therefore gone out of my way to do so...I just wished everyone else used it as a language to read and not speak in...selfishly cos they can then read my stuff, but selflessly so they can be truly Punjabi as English people who can read and write in their own language..

You gotta take into account this guys comments are informed by
-   A UNESCO report which says Punjabi as a language will die out in half a century
-   People in Pakistan not reading and writing in Punjabi
-   Punjabi in India being hindized day by day to extent that those born outside India speak actual Punjabi no matter how badly
-   Lets be honest how many of us read as many Punjabi Novels as we read English, Hindi or Urdu? That is why word power is eroding..that’s where his sentiments come from
That said I agree that there are so man Punjabis some form of it will still exist for some time

Sat Sri Akal, Parnaam atay Salaam sab nu

I am a UK born and raised Punjabi who has taught himself to write in Punjabi...admitedly it is very British Punjabi, so will sound and look strange to Native Punjabis, but in my defense I would like to make a basic point

If we in the west who are trying are made fun of, what is the point of us trying, so encourage don't discourage
Also it is merely an accent..example American English and British English are very different, in accents and usage

Finally the Spanish of Latin America has grammatically changed from orginal Spanish as has Canadian French, so in this sense I write in Valati or British Punjabi

Finally here is a link to the yet unavailable book, please read and tell your friends..if you like it you may like my published Science Fiction book in Punjabi, Bharind, ਭਰਿੰਡ which you can google or get in Ludhiana

anyhow hope you enjoy..
