After enjoying years of raking in astonishing wealth from gas and oil revenues, six Gulf countries are starting to feel the financial pinch following a fall in prices and are set to tax their citizens.
Known as the Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC), the loose federation, consisting of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, will introduce VAT for the first time.
With the exception of a few basic charges like traffic tolls, the Gulf countries have long resisted the need to directly tax their people and ex-pats.

Nhi hune takk nhi dinde c hune takk kahande ne so called sharia law de hisab naal tax haram aa so hun tax laike haram kamm karan jaa rahe ne :D:
