Worm infestations is really very dangerous infection as patients remain asymptomatic for long time..

This news reminded me of on case of Ascaraisis infection.One approx. 50yrs old uncle was brought to emergency.. and he was kind of fine at that time but reported about worms came out of his mouth... and soon in 10-15 minutes worms were coming out in projectile motion out of his nose and mouth..and I was supposed to help one of my seniors to intubate him but he just asked me u wanna try.. i was like can't say no to senior and i have to learn.. but those ascarsis were filled in his trachea and esophagus ..and those were blocking the endotracheal tube..finally On duty consultant came and he intubated the patient but patient didn't survive..
That was really sad.. he got infected by eating infected pork... had reported fever and stomach pain few days ago but he and his family didn't care much.. and all of this happened in one night...
I had ascarisis on my shoes , my white coat...
if anyone wanna see , what was actual scene looked like..
