I was just browsing the forums and rain across the "bolliyan" topic. I've noticed most of these bolis are from the "bahu" jo apni sass nu ja nanad nu taahne maardi or something along the lines.
 
Is this a sign of significant dysfunction in our extended families?
 
There has to be some type of tension amongst the family as a new member joins them but reading through these bolis, some are pretty harsh!
 
Example: Meri sass badi kapatti, meri sass badi kapatti, pairi paun na deve jutti, main v jutti pauni aa, mundeyaa raazi reh ja gusse teri maa khadkaun aa
 
 
I'm sure they are a way of just teasing each other. However, for such annotations to occur, there has had to be signficant tension among the members. It just astonishes me that it occured to such extent!
 
Anyway, I'm starting to babble. Lets share some thoughts!
