Top 10 Liveable cities in the world

MELBOURNE has beaten Sydney in a survey of the world's most liveable cities.

Australian cities featured prominently in the Economist Intelligence Unit’s annual survey – with Perth and Adelaide also making the top 10 list.

Claiming second place in the survey, Melbourne was beaten only by Vancouver.

Sydney managed to make the top 10 list at seventh place behind Vienna, Toronto, Calgary and Helsinki.

Meanwhile Perth and Adelaide scored equal eight place in the survey.

The survey examined the living condition of 140 cities around the world. It looked at factors such as stability, health care, culture and environment, education and infrastructure.

Vancouver achieved 98 per cent and took out the number one spot for the fifth straight year following from the success of its 2010 winter Olympics and Paralympics.

However Zimbabwe’s capital Harare claimed the worst position with a rating of just 37.5 per cent, with Dhaka, Bangladesh coming in as second worst.

Australia dominating !
But I still feel... the life in the snowy places like Toronto and Calgary is hard...
Yesterday when i was cuming back...i saw two cars skid to the side of road on hwy 27 as it was snowing ..and tow trucks and police were helping them out

Australia is indeed nice place to live
Its expensive if you compare in that way but you earn more here as compared to what you get in US /Canada . I like it here more

Yeah Chandigarh is boring town now. bt on weekends there is some raunka in 35 Main market and around 36 MCM. spent alot time and found city beautiful is boring town now :break:
