ਜਿੱਦਣ ਤੂੰ ਪਿਰਥੀ ਨੂੰ ਜੰਮਿਆ

ਕਿਹੜਾ ਦਿਨ ਸੀ ਮਾਂ

‘ਰੱਬ’ ਬਣਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਕੁੱਲ ਕਲੰਡਰ

ਉਹੀਓ ਦਿਨ ਕਰ-ਦਾਂ

ਕਿੱਥੇ ਬੁੱਢੀ ਚਗਲ ਉਹ ਜਿਸਦੀ

ਕਾਕਾਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਬਾਂਹ

ਕਿੱਥੇ ਨੌਂ ਵਰ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਤੇਰਾ

ਲਾਲ ਸੀ ਕੁੱਲ ਜਮ੍ਹਾਂ

ਜੇਸ ਰਾਤ ਤੇਰਾ ਲੈ ਗਏ ਪਿਰਥੀ

ਕੋਹਿਆ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਥਾਂ

ਉਦਣ ਧਰਤ ਸੁਹਾਗਣ ਹੋਈ

ਟਹਿਕੀ ਸੁੰਨ ਸਰਾਂ

ਪਿਰਥੀ ਕਰ ਗਿਆ ਧਰਤੀਆਂ ਅੰਬਰ

ਸਾਰੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਂ

ਲੱਭਦੇ ਫਿਰਨ ‘ਬੇਅੰਤੇ’ ਵਰਗੇ

ਪੈਰ ਧਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਥਾਂ

ਤੇਰਾ ਕੋਈ ਕੀ ਕਰ ਲਊ

ਤੂੰ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਪੁੱਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਾਂ
