ਬਾਹਰ ਕਫ਼ਨ ਤੋਂ ਖਾਲੀ ਹੱਥ ਸਿਕੰਦਰ ਦੇ,

ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਕੁਛ ਨਾਲ ਤਾਂ ਸੱਚੀ ਲੈ ਜਾਂਦਾ,

ਮੈਂ ਤੁਰਿਆ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਹੈ,

ਓ ਜ਼ਿਨੇ ਝੱਖੜ ਝੁੱਲੇ ਕਦ ਦਾ ਢਹਿ ਜਾਂਦਾ,

ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਨਾ ਅਹਿਸਾਨ ਕਰਾਵੀਂ ਭੁੱਲ ਕੇ ਤੂੰ,
