Bezubaan dard ko palko se fisalte dekha
humne aankho me kisi shool ko chubhte dekha

apne hotho pe toh khud humne lagaye taale
fir bhi is dil me samander ko machalte dekha

boond aankho se jo tapki thi ban gayi baadal
ghum ko fir humne aasmaa se pighalte dekha

jiska vaada tha humse dard me shareekon ka
wo mere ghum pe humne aaj fir haste dekha

maikade saaki ki marzi se mehekte dekhe
khud ko paimana-e-saaki ko taraste dekha

zindagi humne gujaari hai jiski chaahat ko
uski chaahat ko hi gairo pe baraste dekha……
