ਜੱਨਤ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਸੋਹਣੀਆਂ ਮੇਰੇ "ਪਿਡ" ਦੀਆਂ ਗਲੀਆਂ,
ਗਲੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੇਡ ਕੇ ਕੁੱਝ ਰੀਝਾਂ ਪਲੀਆਂ,
ਹਾਣੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਾਣ ਦੇ ਹੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੇ ਜਾਨੀ,
ਜਿੱਥੇ ਬਚਪਨ ਬੀਤਿਆ ਤੇ ਚੜੀ ਜਵਾਨੀ,
ਬਚਪਨ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਬੀਤਿਆ ਮੈਂ ਕਿੰਵੇਂ ਭੁਲਾਵਾਂ,
......ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਰਗਾਂ ਵਰਗੇ "ਪਿੰਡ" ਤੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਵਾਂ,
