Ni Mein Maari Java

In the actual Shiv Kumar Batalvi poem/song there is another verse which is actually the second last verse. However, Jagjit Singh goes straight into Chithi Na Koi Sandesh, which is brilliant. Both of the songs compliment each other beautifully.

Ni Sada Haath Gaya Kumblaya,

When he sings "Churi Kuta Ta O Khanda Nahi,
Weh Asa  Tun Da Mas Khawaya," it almost fills my eyes.

The word "shikra" means a hawk or a falcon; a very pretty or handsome bird of dazzling beauty. In the case of this song/poem it basicaly means a free spirited or wayward friend or lover.

haha! thanks dude actually i have heard of that song by surinder kaur haha totally loved the bolias by her .. dachi i didnt know ki hunda at first but had to figure it out after listening to the song lol and i didnt know it was by shiv kumar batalvi thats kool i guess theres something new we do learn everyday ;) thanks tho and i so didnt know wat shikra meant haha

That song comes from the album Saher. I love that album, I have it in the car and it is fantastic; in fact the whole album is fantastic. I reckon I have burnt that CD for so many of my friends that I have lost count. My female friends love it.
