*Guru Granth Sahib begins with word ੴ
*The Sikh Mool Mantar is
                           ੴ ਸਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਕਰਤਾ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਨਿਰਵੈਰੁ ਅਕਾਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਅਜੂਨੀ ਸੈਭੰ ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

Ik oaʼnkār saṯ nām karṯā purakẖ nirbẖa o nirvair akāl mūraṯ ajūnī saibẖaʼn gur parsāḏ.

*Sri Guru Granth Sahib was installed for the first time at Sri Darbar Sahib Amritsar on 16th August 1604(Bhadon Sadi 1, 1661 Bikrami).

*Guru Granth Sahib has total 1430 pages referred to as “Ang”.

*Most of the compositions of Guru Granth Sahib are recorded in the ragas which total 31 in number. The ragas are Sri, Majh, Gaurhi, Asa, Gujri, Dev Gandhari, Bihagra, Wadhans, Sorath, Dhanasri, Jaitsri, Todi, Bairari, Tilang, Suhi, Bilawal, Gaund, Ramkali, Nat Naraian, Mali Gaurha, Maru, Tukhari, Kedar, Bhairo, Basant, Sarang, Malhar, Kanra, Kalyan, Parbhati and Jaijawanti.

*Compositions under each raga is arranged as follows, first are the Shabads followed by Ashtpadis which are followed by Channts and finally compositions of bhagats.

*Guru Angad Dev did not compose any Shabads. Guru Angad composed Sloks.

*Guru Tegh Bahadur did not compose any Ashtpadi.

*Guru Nanak composed 209 Shabads, 123 Ashtpadis and 25 Chhants.

*Guru Amar Das composed 172 Shabads, 79 Ashtpadis and 19 Chhants.

*Guru Tegh Bahadur composed 59 Shabads.

*Guru Arjan Dev composed 1322 Shabads 45 Ashtpadis and 63 Chhants.

*22 Vars can be found in Guru Granth Sahib 21 have been composed by Gurus while one has been composed by bards Satta and Balwand in Rag Ramkali.

*Guru Angad Dev did not compose any Shabads, he comosed only Saloks.

*Among Bhagats the most compostions are by Kabir. His 224 Shabds are included in Guru Granth Sahib.

*Bhagat Namdev has 61 Shabads, Ravidas 40, Tarlochan and Farid 4 each, Bhagats Beni and Dhanna 3 each.

*Bhagats Jaidev and Bhikan have 2 shabads each while Bhagats Parmanand, Sain, Pipa, Sadhna, Ramanad and Soordas have one Shabad each.

*Guru Arjan Dev ji have 3 Shabads in the Bhagats’ Bani section.

*Bhagat Kabir has 3 more compositions which have been recorded in Sri Guru Granth Sahib; Bavan Akhri, Pandrah Thithee and Satt Var.

I thought bhagat Dhanna had only 1 shabad, which in Dhanasri Mehal, which is Aarti.

hanji..Shabad- I think koyee v paragraph ya single hymns( pauri) nu Gurubani vich Shabad kehnde ha..
Ashtpadi vich 8 hymn hunde ne..like Sukhmani Sahib vich 24 ashtpadiyan ne..
Salok mainly Gurubani vich final meaning dinde ne like JApuji sahib vich ik opening slaok hai te ik end vich..

Baki Bhai dhanna ji de 3 shabad ne Sri Guru Granth Sahib vich..487,488 and 695 page teh..mein teeno shabad attachment vich post kar rahi ha..

mere khyal vich pendu thoda meaning "Var" toh hai..Je Var puch rahe ho ta
Var da meaning hai jado 2-3 Salok ikathe teh nai ik pauri hove fer..os combination nu var kehnde ne..
