sorry i took so long, but i wanted to answer your question about why in Sikhism, blood relations do not get any priority at all. I'll give some examples:

- Guru Nanak Dev ji had 2 sons: lakhmi chand and sri chand. Lakhmi chand was into worldly pleasures. Sri Chand became a baba for a sect called Udasi. Guru Nanak Dev ji did not give the seat of the Guru to either of his sons, but his disciple and excellent sevadar, Bhai Lehna Ji (whose name was changed to Guru Angad Dev ji, because he became an "ang" (an organ) of the Guru).

- Guru Amar Das ji gave the seat of the Guru to Bhai Jetha Ji (later known as Guru Ram Das Ji), not his own sons (they were not bad, but not good as good as Bhai Jetha ji). You see the leadership went to those most deserving (it didn't matter that the sons were in drect blood relation to the Guru).

- Guru Ram Das ji's son Pirthi Chand (elder brother of Guru Arjan Dev ji) was not an honest man.

You see in Sikhism we find that being born into a rich/spiritual family will not give any person special rights or skills. Seva, Devotion and Love are essential to becoming a good, spiritual human being.
