At the Harmandir Sahib, much of the present decorative gilding and marblework date back from the early 19th century. The gold and intricate marble work were conducted under the patronage of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, Maharaja of the Punjab. The Sher-e-Punjab (Lion of the Punjab) was a generous patron of the shrine and is remembered with much affection by the Sikhs. Maharaja Ranjit Singh deeply loved and admired the teachings of the Tenth Guru of Sikhism Guru Gobind Singh, thus he promoted the teachings of the Dasam Granth (the Tenth Granth) and built two of the most sacred temples in Sikhism. These are Takht Sri Patna Sahib, the birth place of Guru Gobind Singh, and Takht Sri Hazur Sahib, the place where Guru Gobind Singh took his final rest or mahasamadhi, in Nanded, Maharashtra in 1708.

Gurudwara Dera Sahib Panjvin Patshahi lahore pakistan.
Gurudwara Dera Sahib is situated opposite Lahore Fort near Badshahi Mosque. This is the place where Sat Gur Arjun Dev Ji was martyred in the River Ravi facing the tortures inflicted by Chandu on 30th May 1606 AD.
The Gurudwara was built by Maharaja Ranjit Singh in the memory of Dhan Dhan Sahib Shri Guru Arjan Dev ji Maharaj.

 "Takht Sri Patna Sahib" The Gurudwara at Patna Sahib was founded in remembrance of the birth place of Dhan Dhan Sahib Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj, the tenth Guru of the Sikhs on 22 Dec 1666,  this Gurudwara was built by Maharaja Ranjit Singh (1780-1839), the first Maharaja of the Sikh Empire, on the banks of Ganges River in Patna in Bihar state.
"Takht Sri Hazur Sahib" marks the site where Dhan Dhan Sahib Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj,had his camp in 1708 AD after the departure of the Emperor Bahadur Shah. The  Dhan Dhan Sahib Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj, held his court and congregation here and this shrine is erected on the very site of his own tent where he was convalescing after being attacked by assailants, where from he rose to SACHKHAND along with his horse Dilbag.
This Gurudwara was built by Maharaja Ranjit Singh.
