nice post
national bird of India :) white one is awesome about that part : "The peacock asked what good was his beauty without a great voice. Juno wisely replied that every creature has its gifts and faults, and they should be content with all they have and who they are." No one is content with what theyve got ,but right answer to it ! 6335
Cars / Peugeot SR1 Concept« on: January 09, 2010, 07:27:59 PM »Peugeot SR1 Concept French automaker Peugeot will pull the wraps off a brand-new concept vehicle called the SR1 at the Geneva Motor Show later this year. Unlike a number of recent Peugeot cars and concepts, the SR1 isn't hallmarked by quirky, love-it-or-hate-it styling. Instead, we see a somewhat traditional long-hood, short-deck profile with some interesting details, such as the creased indentation in the doors that's echoed in both the front and rear fascias. Also note the redesigned Lion logo, which we surmise will show up on all future Peugeots from here on out. Power for the SR1 (which, of course, has nothing at all to do with the Corvette ZR1) comes courtesy of Peugeot's HYbrid4 technology, which pairs a small 1.6-liter turbodiesel four-cylinder engine powering the front wheels with a 95-horsepower electric motor at the rear. The all-wheel drive, through-the-road hybrid system will make its production debut in 2011 inside the 3008 crossover, with other models to follow not long after that. Other concept-appropriate bits and pieces include a new removable plastic roof panel using technology that's borrowed from the world of sailing, a three-seat layout with the third passenger behind the twin front seats and instrumentation that pairs futuristic crystal tubes displaying current fuel consumption and remaining range with a classic timepiece designed by Bell & Ross. Continuing the old versus new theme are black nickel and satin chrome trim with traditional wood and leather inlays. With 313 combined horsepower, fuel mileage estimated at 57.7 mpg (European, 48 miles per gallon U.S.) and carbon emissions of just 119 grams per kilometer, the Peugeot SR1 ought to be a mean, green performer. Plus, its speed-sensitive four-wheel steering and lightweight structure should equal formidable handling prowess. Of course, we may never know for sure, as this car, though signaling Peugeot's new styling direction, is nothing more than a concept at this point. 6336

10 Best Engines of 2009
Ward's Auto has released its annual list of Ten Best Engines for the new year, and our first assessment is that it's just as interesting for what isn't present as for what is. Cars / Honda Small Concept« on: January 09, 2010, 07:05:51 PM »
Honda Small Concept
Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI) Ltd., announced the World Premiere of the Honda New Small Concept Car today in a press conference at the 10th Auto Expo 2010. This will be the first time when Honda has chosen India for the world premiere of a concept car. The Honda New Small Concept Car is a concept model of a new small-sized vehicle which Honda is currently developing especially for India and other emerging nations. With its commitment to provide technologically advanced vehicles, the Honda New Small Concept is a 'true Honda' – futuristic design with maximum cabin space. The 'Efficient Energetic Exterior' based on front-forward design lends the Honda New Small Concept an appealing dynamic presence. Honda's design principle 'Man Maximum - Machine Minimum' has defined the underlying approach in the design concept of the Honda New Small Concept. A wide platform with a stable center of gravity was adopted to create a highly efficient compact size car without compromising on the cabin space hence greater passenger comfort. Developed at Honda's Automobile R&D Center in Japan, the Honda New Small Concept is designed to be a family car with a capacity to comfortably seat 5 adult passengers. P.S : Car Specifications are still unavailable, I will try to find it out soon. Thanks for looking 6339
Tech Lounge / Panasonic Full HD 3D camcorder« on: January 09, 2010, 07:02:47 PM »
Panasonic Full HD 3D camcorder
Shooting in 3D has traditionally required a complex, bulky and fragile rig using two cameras and additional hardware to calibrate and adjust them. Panasonic's straight-forwardly-named Twin-lens Full HD 3D camcorder looks to radically change the 3D game, with integrated lenses and dual memory card slots allowing you to capture 3D footage immediately, with just one device. The camcorder records onto inexpensive SDHC/SD memory cards, thankfully abandoning the P2 system used for its concept 3D camera, and the outrageously expensive P2 memory cards along with it. While it's far cheaper than building your own 3D rig, the SRP of US$21,000 means we're not likely to see the next breakout indie film in 3D, but given the drop in price (and jump in video capabilities) between Canon's 5D Mark II and subsequent 7D, who knows what'll happen over the next couple of years. The Twin-lens Full HD 3D camcorder will be available in Q4 2010, and Panasonic plans to release a 3D Full HD LCD monitor for use in the field, and a digital mixer for live 3D broadcasting shortly after. 6340
