Rotary Engine and its working A pistonless rotary engine is an internal combustion engine that does not use pistons in the way a reciprocating engine does, but instead uses one or more rotors, sometimes called rotary pistons. An example of a pistonless rotary engine is the Wankel engine. The term rotary combustion engine has been suggested as an alternative name for these engines to distinguish them from early (generally up to the early 1920s) aircraft engines and motorcycle engines also known as rotary engines. However, both continue to be called rotary engines and only the context determines which type is meant. In particular, the only commercial producer of (pistonless) automobile rotary engines as of 2005, Mazda, consistently refers to its Wankel engines as rotary engines Working A rotary engine is an internal combustion engine, like the engine in your car, but it works in a completely different way than the conventional piston engine. In a piston engine, the same volume of space (the cylinder) alternately does four different jobs -- intake, compression, combustion and exhaust. A rotary engine does these same four jobs, but each one happens in its own part of the housing. It's kind of like having a dedicated cylinder for each of the four jobs, with the piston moving continually from one to the next. See the video

Livio De Marchi was born in Venezia where, still a child, he worked on ornamental sculpture in the Venetian tradition in the workshop of a crafting and in the meantime he studied art and drawing at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Venice. His activity starts there, displaying at once an astounding skill in moulding materials. The material has been transformed by him with ironical sensitivity that brought him to create sculptures that keep perfection of detail as well spontaneity and essence. During his artistic evolution he worked first in marble, then bronze, and eventually in wood. But wood has always been his favourite material because it gives him a vitality which other materials do not. After opening his own studio, Livio De Marchi allowed his fantasy to run free, declaring his way of being, his interior world. After a deep inner evolution his ironical ability to see life got the upper hand in letting him carve this kind of sculpture.

Kevin Richardson, zoologist and animal behaviouralist, raises and trains some of the most dangerous animals known to man. To do this he does not use the common methods of breaking the animal's spirit with sticks and chains, instead he uses love, understanding and trust. With this unusual method of training he has developed some exceptionally personal bonds with his students. He sleeps with lions, cuddles newborn hyenas, swims with lionesses. Kevin can confidently look into their eyes, crouch to the their level and even lie down with them - all taboos in the normal world of wild animal handling - yet he has never been mauled or attacked. Some call him crazy; others shake their heads at his unique method of interacting with the animals. And Kevin's secret - get to know the particular personality of each animal, what makes them angry, happy, upset, irritated - just like a mother with a child.

2011 Infiniti QX56 The 2011 Infiniti QX56 will be built exclusively in Japan and goes on sale across the country this summer All QX56 models also include Hill Start Assist. With Hill Start Assist, if a driver stops on a slope and steps off the brake pedal, the system will keep the vehicle stationary for a few seconds--with no roll back. This enables drivers to easily switch from the brake pedal to the accelerator on steep inclines. Power comes from a 5.6-liter V-8--the same unit found in the 2011 Infiniti M56 Sedan--and tops out at 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque. The engine is matched to a seven-speed automatic transmission that features a pseudo manual control and downshift rev matching. Despite the added output and 8,500 pound towing capacity, the new 2011 Infiniti QX56 offers 10 percent better fuel economy than the previous generation QX. Braking is provided by four-wheel disc brakes (13.8-inch vented discs front and rear) with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD). Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) and two-wheel or four-wheel Active Brake Limited-Slip (ABLS) are standard on every QX56. Engine-speed-sensitive power steering is also standard. The brakes reside within 20 inch wheels, which come as standard, although 22 inch forged aluminum wheels are also offered. A Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) with four-corner pressure readout and Tire Inflation Indicator is also standard. Inside, there’s a long list of luxury features including a hard disk-based navigation system, a 13 speaker stereo system, a 7 inch color display and DVD player and perforated semi-aniline leather trim.

Land Rover LRX Land Rover will launch its first ever two-wheel-drive car this autumn, an ultra-frugal version of its Range Rover ‘coupé SUV’, the LRX. The new Golf-size coupé — whose interior is likely to focus on style instead of full-blown practicality — is due to make its public debut at the Paris show and enter production next year. Land Rover had ruled out a front-drive variant, arguing that its brand values would be compromised by such a move. But now the firm says it “cannot ignore the growth of the two-wheel-drive SUV segment”. The front-drive LRX will not be available at launch; it will follow “shortly after” the four-wheel-drive variant, say Land Rover sources. All versions of the LRX are likely to use a version of the Freelander’s drivetrain, with a revised specification of that car’s PSA-sourced 2.2-litre turbodiesel engine producing around 185bhp. They will also have a six-speed manual ’box as standard, making the LRX the first manual Range Rover since the second-generation model, replaced in 2002. The front-drive model will emit less than 130g/km of CO2, says Land Rover; four-wheel-drive LRXs will emit around 140/gkm. Although the car is widely known as the Range Rover LRX, Land Rover sources say it will be given a proper name instead of a code.

Police charge man with stealing Ferrari A MELBOURNE casino patron has been charged with theft for taking a joyride across the city in a Ferrari after mistakenly being given the keys to the $500,000 sports car by a parking valet. Police believe the red Ferrari was stolen about 12.30am (AEST) today when a parking attendant handed the car keys over to the wrong person. Crown Casino spokesman Gary O'Neill said sometimes punters reported missing valet tickets to parking attendants. "In those circumstances, we require proof of ID, usually a driver's licence," he said. "That procedure was followed on this occasion." Mr O'Neill said the procedures, which had not failed prior to the incident, would be reviewed. CCTV footage from the casino has been handed to police. Broadmeadows police spotted the sports car at a service station in Barry Rd, Coolaroo, about 6.30am (AEST) and arrested a 32-year-old man seen leaving the scene. They later charged him with one count of theft of a car. He will appear at a Melbourne court this afternoon.

World's strongest kid - Guinness book of world Record
When other boys of his age are probably playing outside and just being normal 5-year-old kids, Giuliano Stroe goes to the gym and works out with his dad, a practice he’s been keeping ever since he was just two years of age. Giuliano doesn’t mind and perhaps the fact that he’s just made it into the Guinness Book of Records has a lot to do with it, World Records Academy says.
Giuliano lives with his parents in Italy and, according to his father, he’s been his constant companion to the gym since he was only two. He likes to train and does it whenever he gets the chance, the dad says for the international press. However, in the little time when he’s not lifting weights, Giuliano likes to play – and, apparently, to set world records for the strongest boy on the face of the planet.
“Romanian Giuliano Stroe, five, has been training since the age of two in Italy – where he lives with his family – and now he performed the fastest ever 10m hand walk with a weight ball between his legs – setting the world record for the Strongest Boy In The World. Giuliano Stroe, the Strongest Boy In The World, performed the stunt in front of a cheering live audience, and has become an Internet sensation as hundreds of thousands of people have watched the clip of him performing the stunt on YouTube.” the above-mentioned publication writes.
“He has been going to the gym since he was born. I have trained hard all my life and always take him with me. But he is never allowed to practice on his own. He is only a child and if he gets tired we go and play.” Giuliano’s father, Iulian Stroe, reveals. Although with hard-rock abs and arms that could shame an adult man, Giuliano insists he still does “kids stuff” when he’s not weight lifting, like painting, playing outside and watching cartoons.
