This is very big news. There had been past speculation about this. And google has just confirmed this on their blog that they will build Google Chrome Operating System, based on Linux.
Their main features will be:
- everything online
- instant on/off
- no software installs/useless-interactions (i.e. minimal learning curve)

No, it is not true. It's a joke. But it is based on reality. A space pen was developed by Paul Fisher (not NASA) to be able to write in space, because pencil wood and lead are dangerous (flammable) and can break off. Once they were invented, both Americans and Russians used Fisher Space Pen.
