Case against Punjabi singer Mika for abusing journalist 09 Jan, 2010 10:31 am IST l IANS  A case was filed Friday against Punjabi singer Mika, who misbehaved with a journalist and used abusive language against him while addressing a press conference in this Punjab city, police said. "We have registered a case against Mika after getting a written complaint from a journalist of a news channel. I have ordered a probe into this incident and an appropriate action will be taken against Mika after the investigation," Senior Superintendent of Police Sukhchain Singh Gill told IANS. Mika, in the industrial city, 100 km from Chandigarh to promote his debut film "Mitti", got infuriated when the journalist asked a question about his strained relations with Bollywood item girl Rakhi Sawant. The two are at loggerheads since Rakhi filed a police complaint against Mika for allegedly forcibly kissing her at his birthday bash.

Kuldeep Paras (singer) passed away... Kuldip Paras (Punjabi Bhangra Star) has died from Cancer at Mohan dayi Hospital. He was from Rolu Majra (Roparh), but lived in Hussainpura (Roppar). He was a shagird of Surinder Shinda. Kuldip was known throughout Punjabi music as a true vocal talent whose voice was responsible for a number of hits during the 80's & 90's including "Gal Mukdi aa ke Daru te" (Music: Charnjit Ahuja), "Ji Karda Chuk Le Javan", "Do Guttan Waliye Shakeen Kudiye", Kali-Sassi Punnu, Tur Jayengi Sohniye ni College Sunna Karke, Gidhe Vich Tun Nachdi Nachey marke Addi (Lyrics: Prof Gurbhajan Gill). In Punjab, he sang songs of Bant Rampure Wale, Debi Maksoosupri, and Dev Thareeke Wale. He had also released duet songs with Gulshan Komal and Sukhwant Kaur Sukhi. Kuldip Paras also made a name for himself in the UK, working with the likes of J Skillz, Tejwant Kittu and Sangra Vibes, featuring on Manak E's Boliyan alongside Lehmber Hussainpuri.  In Jammu, Jazzy B's show was stopped by protesters, who were cheated by the show management at MA Stadium. The management sold thousands of tickets, when there were only 200 seats. Jazzy B also started singing on CD, which people noticed. The audience threw stones at Jazzy B, and chased Jazzy B off stage, and even burned down his posters. Fortunately, Jazzy B escaped alive.

Faridkot (Punjab), Dec 20 : Village-girl Ramandeep Kaur in Punjab's border district of Faridkot did not have anything in common with well-known cricketer Sourav Ganguly till Saturday. Not until Aamir Khan, disguised as a documentary filmmaker from abroad, landed up at her village on the eve of her wedding.
The bride and her family of Churchak village near Jagraon could not in their wildest dreams imagine that the disguised filmmaker was none other than the Bollywood star until he told them so himself.
The actor had last week played a similar prank at Ganguly's house after he landed up in Kolkata disguised as a fan of the former Indian cricket captain.
Dressed as a hippie-looking foreigner visiting India for documentary filmmaking, Aamir attended the pre-wedding celebrations in Kaur's village near Jagraon town, 250 km from Chandigarh.
"Aamir Khan came to the wedding functions. Initially, we were told that he was a documentary maker. When his real identity was revealed, there was even greater joy and excitement in the household and the entire village," Ramandeep's father Jasvir Singh told IANS Sunday.
Ramandeep's wedding to groom Gurjit Singh was solemnised Sunday as per Sikh religious rites.
The winter chill of north India did not stop Aamir from being part of the rural wedding ceremonies Saturday night for over two hours despite having reported sick just a day earlier at Jaipur.
The trip, of course, was part of Aamir's ongoing promotion of his yet to be released film "3 Idiots".
"Some people approached us a few days back that someone wanted to shoot a rural wedding. That person came as a commoner and was treated as any other guest. Only later we were told that he is Aamir Khan," said Jasvir Singh, a farmer and landlord.
The actor not only sang and danced with men and women at the wedding but also ate dinner with them. He even gifted a ring to the bride after the 'Mehendi' ceremony.
He left only past midnight - perhaps headed for another undisclosed location in disguise.
But before doing that, he did not forget to invite the new couple to come to Mumbai for the premiere of his latest film later this week - this being his wedding gift for the honeymooners.
