Ok i m gonna say something here.. and this is for all those who are saying its not the same and ppl are not nice anymore!!
First, This is creating an unwanted tension in the forum, as everyone is saying that it not the same.. Ppl are mean now.. etc etc.. So what you want to say is that every new user coming to the forum is Mean or not worthy too be your friend. I would say that is a flaw in you rather than a new user as they have every right to join a forum and get together with ppl.
Secondly, by saying this that ppl are mean now. You are just insultin a new user and saying that ppl before were more important. All of you (inculding me) are older members so this is your responsiblity (or my responsiblity) that we make sure that a new member fell like home here.. if you want the forum active. And if you say that a new user cant be your friend.. I would say that a flaw in you agian rather than blaming everyone else
Thirdly, there is an issue being a Mod. I think being a normal user is better than a mod. By becoming a mod first you have to do more work, second you have to lisiten to ppl crap for no reason. As all we do here is social service and tat too without pay. I am being yelled at like many ppl (GS knows it, n some other ppl also do) when i am tryin to resolve an issue. And I probably wouldn;t take crap (and most of you know that)but I still did, cause I think if I do that who will make sure the envoirnment is relaxed here
