Jhande, India is very late to the arms manufacturing race. America/China are probably the biggest exporter of arms. Atleast, I think they trade their arms more to get other benefits.
Why can't India meke their own weapons....we have freaking 1 billion of population..
reason - if US give way manufacturing of arms, Planes, or high end products (missiles, Navy ships etc) - US wont be a super power, no more.
One reason US got scared when China manufactured there first plane. they consider them as mass production region with small products ... but planes did surprise them.
