SoulMate was in a nightclub in Germany, dancing with a beautiful woman.
He whispered into her ear, "I love you."
She smiled and whispered back,"I love you too".
then he whispered, "I love you three."

----------------------

SoulMate proposes to a woman.

She says yes if you bring me a pair of crocodile boots.
SoulMate sets off to Africa and disappears.

Finally a search is being made, they find him hunting crocodiles and watch him killing a huge one.
He walks over the reptile, checks its legs and angrily exclaims "71st and *AGAIN* barefeet!"

News Khabran / 10-year-old convinces thousands to donate their eyes
« on: August 24, 2009, 12:46:29 AM »
Lucknow: Ten-year-old Prakriti Chandra's friends watch cartoon channels or play with dolls in their spare time. She works to sensitise people so that they pledge to donate their eyes after death.

Prakriti, a Class 6 student in the City Montessori School here, has already convinced around 28,000 people to donate their eyes after death.

"Sensitising masses towards eye donation is our social responsibility...It's not for the adults only as children too can shoulder this responsibility, provided they take it as a social mission," Prakriti solemnly told IANS.

"Mine is a small initiative. If students of schools across Uttar Pradesh support me, I am confident we will be able to bring a big positive change in society," she added.

Asked what prompted her to work for this particular cause, Prakriti replied: "Nearly four years ago, I had gone to visit one of my friends, Shivam, in a blind school. At that time, I asked my father to get Shivam treated. To this, my father replied that Shivam's treatment was possible only through eye donation.

"It was that day I made the firm determination to convince maximum number of people to donate their eyes after they died."

Prakriti's parents -- both physiotherapists by profession -- assist their daughter in her campaign.

"Their (parents) moral support is the driving force behind my campaign. They help me get in touch with NGOs, social activists and other organisations working for eye donation," she said.

"It's owing to their strong support I have managed to convince nearly 28,000 people in various districts of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand to donate their eyes after death. All of them have applied for eye donation."

The determined girl has already decided she will choose a profession that helps her serve people. "I don't say I will become a social activist, but surely I will choose a profession that will enable me to serve the needy."

Recently, Uttar Pradesh Governor B.L. Joshi lauded Prakriti's efforts after meeting her. "He (governor) encouraged me a lot and promised to guide me in my social campaign whenever I need guidance," she said.

DEMENTIEVA CROWNED CHAMPION IN TORONTO

Elena Dementieva was crowned Rogers Cup champion after defeating Maria Sharapova 6-4, 6-3 on Centre Court at Rexall Centre. The 27-year-old fought hard against Sharapova in a match that was much closer than the score would indicate. Dementieva also became the second consecutive Russian to win Rogers Cup, as fans were treated to fabulous tennis in the event's first all-Russian final.

"I feel so happy to win today," said Dementieva immediately after the match. "I've come to this tournament for so many years and I finally won."

Both players struggled with their serve throughout the first set, as Dementieva broke Sharapova an astonishing five times. She jumped out to an early 4-1 first-set lead, before Sharapova made things interesting by converting three break points of her own. Many of the games featured multiple deuces, as Dementieva continuously frustrated Sharapova with her defense. She thrilled the crowd by returning Sharapova's powerful ground strokes and winning many of the long back-and-forth rallies.

"I was fighting for every point," said Dementieva. "She put a lot of pressure on the first two shots, and I was just waiting for my chances and didn't rush."

Another story in the first set was Sharapova's inability to control her serve, as she double-faulted nine times and gave Dementieva free points. The eventual champion took advantage, as she broke Sharapova to win the frame.

The Russians stayed on serve until the sixth game of the second set, when Dementieva broke Sharapova once again to lead 4-2. Then, leading 5-3, she squandered two championship points before Sharapova's drop-shot attempt fell short to end the match. Dementieva fell to her knees, having won her first Rogers Cup title in seven tries, beginning with her first trip to Canada in 1999.

"Every time I come, I have such great crowd support and I just like this tournament," she said. "I just feel so happy to finally win this title and it means a lot to me."

Ranked world No. 5, the 27-year-old captured her third championship of the year, and 14th of her career. Dementieva also raised her career head-to-head record with Sharapova to 3-8. She leaves Canada well prepared for the upcoming US Open, and will head to New York in search of her first Grand Slam title.

"This kind of win gives you a lot of confidence for New York," said Dementieva.

Sharapova, meanwhile, is still in search of her first title since returning from a shoulder injury earlier this year. The former world No. 1 showed a lot of fight on Sunday, saving numerous break points and extending the match. Still, she was unable to come back against Dementieva, one day after climbing back to beat another Russian, Alisa Kleybanova, in the semifinals.

"I certainly had my chances," said Sharapova. "In both of the sets I had so many opportunities to get back in the match."

For Dementieva, it's another significant accomplishment on her career resume, with a Grand Slam title as the only real challenge left. For now, she is simply thrilled to be a champion at Rogers Cup.

Murray crowned Rogers Cup champion

Twenty-two-year-old Brit Andy Murray, who will climb to the No.2 ranking in the world on Monday, captured the Rogers Cup presented by National Bank title on Sunday, defeating 20-year-old Argentine Juan Martin Del Potro 6-7(4), 7-6(3), 6-1.

The match lasted two hours and 44 minutes and could have gone either way until the start of the third set.

In the first set that saw no breaks of serve, both players were playing solid and naturally until the tiebreak. And even then, it was a simple mini-break at 4-4 on the Scot’s serve that made the difference.

The second set started off quite differently. Right off the bat, Murray broke the giant Argentine’s serve and was broken right back in the next game.

From then on, both players held until the tiebreak.

Collapse and injuries

Even then, Del Potro was showing signs of physical weaknesses. He called the trainer near the end of the second set and was suffering from a stiff neck and left shoulder. During the tiebreak, he wasn’t serving as well as usual, giving up three mini-breaks to Murray compared to just one for the Scot.

From then on, the fans on Centre Court saw the giant’s collapse. Exhausted from the marathon of the first two sets, suffering from cramps and incapable of using his backhand because of a sore arm, Del Potro had a hard time moving. Add to that the fact that it was 38 degrees Celcius on Centre Court, with a humidity factor of 55%.

Murray took advantage, exploiting his rival’s deficiencies. He broke him three times in a row in the final set – in the second, fourth and sixth games. He especially picked on Del Potro’s backhand, knowing that he would have to run around it to hit a forehand.

The only spurt of energy by the Argentine came in the fifth game when he ripped two powerful forehands to break Murray’s serve.

“I’m sorry for not being able to fight right until the end,” said Del Potro, upon receiving a cheque for $220,000. “But I know that I did my best. It was my first Masters 1000 final and I’ll be back.”

Murray didn’t hide his satisfaction in winning the Rogers Cup at a time when he’ll surpass Rafael Nadal to take the No.2 ranking in the world. $443,500 richer, the Scot paid tribute to his opponent.

Bhupathi wins his fifth Canadian title

India’s Mahesh Bhupathi and Mark Knowles of the Bahamas, the tournament’s third seeds, were crowned doubles champions of the Rogers Cup presented by National Bank Sunday on Centre Court of the Uniprix Stadium.

They easily defeated the seventh seeds, Belarusian Max Mirnyi and Andy Ram of Israel 6-4, 6-3 in one hour and two minutes of play.

The winners didn’t give up a single break point to their rivals throughout the entire match, taking advantage of three of the 12 they had on offer themselves.

Bhupathi and Knowles follow Canada’s Daniel Nestor and Serb Nenad Zimonjic as holders of the Rogers Cup title. To reach the final, the new champions successively defeated South African Jeff Coetzee and Jurgen Melze of Austria, Poles Mariusz Fyrstenberg and Marcin Matkowski, and then Nestor and Zimonjic.

The winning team receives $175,000 for its success, while the finalists get $76,000.

It’s the fifth Rogers Cup doubles title for Bhupathi, who has achieved the feat with four different partners. In 1997 and 2004, he did it with Leander Paes; while in 2003, his partner was Sunday’s opponent, Max Mirnyi. Finally in 2007, he found success with Pavel Vizner.

It’s worthy to note that four of Bhupathi’s five wins came in Montreal.

BOLT DID IT AGAIN.. THIS GUY IS SO UNREAL.. NON_HUMAN .. DAMN
5 WR in 1 year.. This is unhuman.. Love this guy.. runs at 23-26 mph during his sprint .. JUST AMAZING..

Just imagine.. That this record stands for 10 -20 yrs from now.. Then we will be telling stories that we watched it live .. We are living in an amazing Era :superhappy: :superhappy: :superhappy:

=======================================================================

Usain Bolt shattered another of his own world records on Thursday, running a blistering 19.19 seconds to win the men's 200 metres at the world championships in Berlin.

Exactly a year after capturing Olympic gold in 19.30, the rangy Jamaican burst out to an excellent start into a slight headwind in Lane 5 and blew away a fast but overmatched field.

"I was a little tired, but I decided, 'What the heck, let's just try,'" said Bolt, who also lowered his 100-metre mark by 0.11 in Sunday's gold-medal race.

How low can they go?
The progression of the 200-metre world record over the last four decades, since Tommie Smith (pictured) set his standard at the 1968 Olympics.

Alsonso Edward of Panama finished second in 19.81 — a South American record but still a gaping 0.62 behind Bolt.

Wallace Spearmon of the U.S. got the bronze in a season-best 19.85, while American Shawn Crawford and Jamaican Steve Mullings missed the medal stand despite clocking in at under 20 seconds.

"Just coming out there, I'm just waiting for the lights to flash Game Over, cause I felt like I was in a video game," said Crawford, who was fourth. "That guy was moving — fast."

Bolt didn't have to contend with defending 200 world champion Tyson Gay. The American, who finished second in the 100 final, opted to rest a lingering groin injury in hopes of contributing to the U.S. 4x100 relay team.

Bolt has taken a sledgehammer to Michael Johnson's once-iconic standard of 19.32 set at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. And the gregarious Jamaican, who only turns 23 on Friday, may not be done breaking records.

While he wouldn't guess how low he can take his 100 time, Bolt suggested he hasn't yet reached the boundaries of human potential.

"I think 9.4 is the limit," Bolt said. "I don't know if I can do it."

But, he added, "Anything is possible."

Sports Khelan / Lightning (Bolt) Strikes Again (New WR 9.58 seconds)
« on: August 16, 2009, 11:55:59 PM »

Usain Bolt has smashed his own 100m world record exactly a year after setting the previous benchmark at the Beijing Olympics

The world's fastest man took 33 strides down the track at Berlin's Olympic Stadium and sliced the largest chunk off the world record since electronic timing was introduced.

But after clocking 9.58 seconds - 0.11 of a second faster than his previous time - he took it all in his stride and insisted it was just another day at the office.

"For me, as an athlete I train all year round to run the 100 metres, it's what I do," said Bolt.

"So when I get in the blocks, I know what I have to do.

"It means I can have all the fun I want before the race, but when the starters say 'on your marks' I just refocus and it's time to go and I know what I have to do and there are no worries."

Bolt, who took the Beijing Games by storm, winning all three Olympic sprint golds and in world record times, had overcome a nervy semi-final in which he false started for the first time in his career.

But it was business as usual once the race got under way as the Jamaican dominated from start to finish.

His world record performance is all the more remarkable as the 22-year-old was involved in a car crash in Jamaica in April when his car rolled into a ditch.

Bolt had a small operation on his left foot, but his lightning strides showed there is nothing wrong with his feet now.

"During the early part of the season, I was just trying to get back into shape and get everything right," he said before paying tribute to silver medalist Tyson Gay.

"I didn't think I was really in good shape, I was taking it slow and working my way up and taking my time.

"I knew I would be ready by the time of the competition, I love competing against these guys.

"Tyson is a great athlete, he pushes me to a high level and I know that next season it's going to be on."

With Olympic and world championship gold medals now in his possession, Bolt said he was tempted to complete the set by running at the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi in 2010.
