As far as databases packages are concerned there are few out there.
I suggest go for SQL bcoz it is widely used and is supported by almost every major databse system in use today. And as far as scripting languages are concerned these languages are embedded in the applications to with they are asociated. I guess PHP or java scripts are the best one ...

and web hosting easy yaar... dont make it seem difficult...

yaar programming of microcontrollers are a bit diffr its something to do with chipss and is from electronics.. Though IT and electronics are directly associated with each other..but still its a part of electronics... or one can say digital electronics.

Well i ended up taking too much of a work load with classes so i'm going to start on this in a couple weeks. I decided to use an At8051 chip (because I have about 5 blank ones in the closet) I'm just going to see if i can get it to send and receive bits of a numbers. After that I'll see if I can display those bits on the computer screen, most likely going to use the parallel(printer) port on the computer seems easier than the USB.

Hosting a website isn't the hard part(My bro does it as a hobby), making it do what you want, is tricky. The other thing is that I'm going to go with Oracle or SQL (Companies like these kind of things on a resume). <- just in case this project is a flop.

Fir dekh de aa... next step... want to do a couple things this summer. Just going to do this slowly.
