Reporting from New Delhi -- India's election took five weeks, cost hundreds of millions of dollars and involved 700 million eligible voters from the snow-capped Himalayas to the beaches of south India. But the wait was worth it for the ruling Congress Party alliance, which today won a surprisingly strong showing at the polls.
In front of party headquarters in New Delhi, supporters set off fireworks and people danced in the streets, some carrying posters of party leader Sonia Gandhi, others singing "Jai Ho," from the "Slumdog Millionaire" soundtrack.
"I express my deep sense of gratitude to the people of the country for the massive mandate," Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said.

Looks like Captain Amrinder Singh will return to power.
CHANDIGARH: The Congress party has won eight out of 13 Lok Sabha seats of Punjab while the ruling Shiromani Akali Dal has won only four. The BJP has won one seat.
The Congress has scored victory in Patiala, Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Gurdaspur, Anandpur Sahib, Fatehgarh Sahib, Sangrur and Ludhiana.
The SAD has won Bathinda, Faridkot, Ferozepur and Khadoor Sahib, while the BJP has won one seat of Amritsar by thin margin.
A hat trick has been scored by Preneet Kaur wife of former Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh the candidate from Patiala and Navjot Singh Sidhu the BJP MP from Amritsar won their seats third time successively.
Preneet Kaur has defeated Prem Singh Chandumajra by about 97,383 votes. Sidhu has defeated Om Parkash Soni of Congress by 2,900 votes.

I think the above pasted maryada answers a lot of your questions, but you may say the Maryada does not apply to non-Sikhs. So I will make my points again: - Having pictures or not having pictures is not the issue. Pictures facilitate religious practice on a visionary level (which is sort of fake, but people find it helpful in reaching God, so I won't say it's wrong). Only Worshipping idols/pictures is the issue (I will present this issue according to Guru Granth Sahib ji at the end). - Guru Granth Sahib ji is can be kept at anywhere, provided that it is kept in respect. The sikhs are the custodians (the lowly-students) of the Guru, we want to keep the Guru Granth Sahib ji at a place that meets it's standard (i.e. what it says inside). It would be disrespectful to keep alcohol (forbidden according to Guru Granth Sahib ji) nearby, similarly, it would be disrespectful to keep idols (forbidden according to Guru Granth Sahib ji). - I have respect for Sindhis. I have respect for Hindu religion, or any other religion. I bow in front of the 15 Hindu and Muslim saints that wrote Gurbani inside Guru Granth Sahib ji. I want to treat my Guru with respect and want to politely ask others to treat it with the same respect. Guru Granth Sahib ji's message is universal brotherhood, but this does not mean that some parts of Guru Granth Sahib ji can be ignored, while others prayed to. Finally, I want to quote a part of Guru Granth Sahib ji that goes against idol worship. After reading this quote by Guru Nanak Dev ji, how can one allow for idol worship to happen if they want to follow Guru Granth Sahib ji. Thank you. Yaar those topics were already deleted from the forum, they were in a private forum "Trash Koorha". Par hun mein othon vi delete karte. I guess we should periodically (harek duje mahine), delete topics from Trash Koorha, kiyonki those topics show up in "Related Topics" sometimes.

here's my another post for today :) daso sarey kewain lagi :)
this one needs more work with the balls. the text on them does not do them justice. you could've used some fisheye effect on the text to match the ball surface. try to be more creative with text positioning and style, than just typing something up quick.
