Surprises ... Its an emotional state experienced as the result of an unexpected significant event. Surprise may be neutral, pleasant, or unpleasant. If a person experiences a very powerful or long lasting surprise it may be considered shock. (yes the recent PJ upgrade /:) I guess I came in this package at least for me  :)Surprise is expressed in the face by the following features: - Eyebrows that are raised so they become curved and high. - Stretched skin below the eyebrows. - Horizontal wrinkles across the forehead. - Open eyelids: the upper lid is raised and the lower lid is drawn down, often exposing the white sclera above and below the iris. - Dropped jaw so that the lips and teeth are parted, with no tension around the mouth.This guy has it all in one :hehe:  Spontaneous, involuntary surprise is often expressed for only a fraction of a second. Neuroscientists have a biological reason too - They say - that the brain finds unexpected pleasures more rewarding than expected ones, and it may have little to do with what people say they like.People also like to be in control of what thet are doing, some suprises make people fall out of control and these are the ones that are unpleasant, cause confusion or maybe even a shock :pagel:So lets talk about happy surprises -

Could Bollywood have made Richard Attenborough’s “Ghandi”? To the same standard and dealt with the serious subject matter? :dnk:
I think it might have but the fact that it didn’t talks volumes. Secondly, Bollywood has had ample opportunity to deal with similar subject matter and failed miserably, movies about Bhagat Singh are a case in point. Here was a chance for Bollywood to make a realistic and factual movie but it instead made Bhagat Singh an all singing and dancing buffoon (The Legend of Bhagat Singh). X_X
To this I am gonna say that Bollywood is also a business industry they will make what people like, how many of teh offbeat movies are a hit? Not many. Bollywood makes what people like and thats wat it is. So saying ki bollywood is stupid because it is servicing their 75% of their masses (the Indian people) would be wrong. They are in business not in the world of right or wrong.
Ahh, so they are in it for the money? It's a cash cow situation then; okay, I can accept that. But I would have thought they might have given a little more credence to their art form. No? :smile:
Well you are taking my statement rong - If I say A is why it is .... u cant take it as A is "only" why it is. Anomaly /:)
they make what people want to see ... people dont want to see seious stuff.
Having said that - we have some amazing movie .. jinnan de naam upper ditte aa .. you shud watch those and tell me if you think those were made for money. Because really they dint make any money.

Vicious ji Sorry if I sounded rude .. no hard feelings main te bass my love bollywood nuun defend kardi si :hug: The problem is that 'Bollywood walle' impose their immoral morality on the rest of the country. They are worshipped by many and they realise that India needs escapism and fantasy because through the screen many can see a dream that they themselves will never realise. It is that fantasy and escapism, Bollywood provides by the bucket load.
It is quite safe to say that it is better keeping the masses in the cinema halls being fed a whole lot of BS than the masses out on the street demonstrating against the gross injustices of the country. For that reason I find Bollywood to be defenceless. I also believe that Bollywood (or should I call it Bollywierd) does not represent India, Indians, their culture or indeed their true way of life. But if it is simple escapism you want Bollywierd is okay, I suppose.
Not trying to be headstrong here but why does a person watch a movie ... if "represent India, Indians, their culture or indeed their true way of life" is what one is looking for Bollywood is not the destination. Documentary movies hundiyaan ne those are made on real stuff. And if this is the question - true representation of the country - I don't think any film industry does that then. Why question is only to Bollywood. Yes most of the movies are a fantasy (Inception is just a fantasy in a fantasy too but no one will question that). I think ppl go for 3 hours of fun, entertainment to ESCAPE from the hardships of the life and until a movie does that if its real or not .. doesn't matter.. I pay for the fun and entertainment and I get that. End of story.If reality is what we want to see, we shud look out the window and know our neighbors problems and try to help them in those 3 hours rather than watching a 3 hours display of somebody else's problems. On the main page - Can we move the calendar on the right side to the top and the recent topics under that? Ohde naal User info, notice board (??) te calendar will be in same line and one doesn't have to scroll till the top to get to recent topics, punjabi facebook de naal align ho jaana I guess.

I likesss bollywood movies ... ppl say ki real ni hundiyaan well Hollywood te bahut hi real hunda hana /:) /:) and Movies are for entertainment not for reality check .... I think some bollywood movies are entertaining .. of course there are some which are pathetic but thats the case in every industry. its the same b.s. over n over n over n over again :thaa: :thaa:
I dont know if you watch all the movies or not but ajj kal kaafi experiment kar rahe aa some of the actors, directors and producers. Have you seen the blue umbrella, Well done abba etc? these are two recent different movies I saw and vadiya vi laggiyaan.
