Fun Time / how smart is your right foot...?
« on: July 02, 2010, 09:42:38 PM »
This will boggle your mind. And
you will keep
trying it to see if you can outsmart your
foot. But you
can't!!!

1. While sitting at your desk, lift your right foot
off the floor and
make clockwise circles with it.

2. Now, while doing this, draw the number "6" in the
air with your right hand. Your foot will change direction!!!

I told you so... And there is nothing you can do about
it.

hahahah word madam ji
i ve been eatin em since last yr .. nd nothin happnd to me
food posionin is very very rare

Still i would suggest eating cooked eggs
the argument is that the human body can only process 51% of the protein in the raw form of an egg, while it is 91% available in the cooked form.
So the protein in cooked eggs is more bioavailable

try raw eggz ...

nd yao fruit basket is very attrctive

Raw eggs contain avidin, a vitamin B7 or biotin inhibitor.....which gets denatured by heat...
So eating raw eggs can lead to biotin deficiency....
and there is also risk of salmonella poisoning.
So its better to eat cooked eggs

Fish oil is also helpful in premature greying of hairs
omega 3 fatty acids (present in fish oil) improve memory, recall, reasoning and focus  and also prevent us from many cardiac diseases

Gup Shup / Punjabi weddings..... views ??
« on: June 29, 2010, 01:25:45 AM »
Punjabis are known to celebrate all occasions with grandeur. Punjabi wedding rituals are fun and full of gaiety..Earlier marriage ceremonies were  more extended and…. Completed in traditional way…… whereas now..these are restricted to 2-3 days ……. Some are of the opinion that wedding should be a private affair, and there are plenty who think it's an occasion to make a statement...the louder the better!

What u say about the marriage ceremony rituals .. ...

Should be extended and should take place in completely traditional way
OR
Its not worth spending time and money on marriage rituals….

News Khabran / South Asians Enigma of Heart Disease
« on: June 28, 2010, 11:01:36 PM »
People who are native to South Asia experience heart attacks at a younger age because of greater levels of heart attack risk factors such as smoking and diabetes at a younger age.
According to another report by Public Health Agency of Canada, certain populations, including Aboriginals and certain ethnic groups, such as South Asians, are at an increased risk for cardiovascular diseases.

The South Asian countries of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Nepal account for about a quarter of the world's population and contribute the highest proportion of cardiovascular diseases compared with any other region globally.
Deaths related to cardiovascular disease occur 5 to 10 years earlier in South Asian countries than in Western countries, according to background information in the article. This has raised the possibility that South Asians exhibit a special susceptibility for acute myocardial infarction (AMI; heart attack) that is not explained by traditional risk factors.

Baldev Mutta, Executive Director at the Punjabi Community Health Services, comments that South Asians have a greater chance than any other ethnicity in having he
art disease. There are many reasons that can be attributed to answer why South Asians have such problem, such as genetics, lifestyle, stress, the food we eat, etc.

Furthermore, factors that increase the risk of CV diseases include family history and age, being a smoker, lack of exercise, unhealthy eating, being overweight, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes and stress. According to recent research, nine in ten Canadians over the age of 20 have at least one risk factor, and four in ten have three or more risk factors.

I am not about to say that you should start worrying about getting heart disease, but I will say that we should at least create a healthy lifestyle.  It is always easier to start a good health habit early, and continue it into our later years, than start a new way of living later on.

Today itself i came to know dat coffee improves short term memory
As caffeine is a cognitive stimulant
that actually boosts brain functioning....... Furthermore, coffee reduces levels of beta amyloid,
a protein in the brain that is responsible for Alzheimer’s disease.
