The US doesn't have one religion and the govt. isn't promoting any religion though there cases where church and state do mix. I think it depends on the situation. I think the two shouldn't be mixed if your promoting one religion over another, or making certain religious laws that cause damage to the country. From what I've seen on the news abt the ramdev baba incident I found it quite nice to see representatives from different religions there. The unity between all the religions to go against corruption. In this case I think its absolutely fine for religion to interfere with the government. Since all the religions are working together and fighting for a good cause I see nothing but benefits. But I think doing so it will be quite complicated and needs a lot of order.

I think it was a great step in the right direction. India needs some serious change, maybe ramdev baba can make something happen. Too bad I'm hearing that this demonstration was stopped by the police and supposedly hes missing now? The people are going to go wild if thats true!
